I would go on line to one of these sites.
CAreer builders or monster dot com.
They have jobs in any variety of fields.
Right now employment is soft. BUt, there are jobs to be found.
You have a Catch 22, however. Most places will not give you an interview and subsequent job without a local address. And to get the visa you need a job.
Do you have a relative that will sponsor you.
My ex was from the west indiest and she got a sponsor to come to the USA and then move into the workforce.

Depends on what skills you have. Go to the US governments website and they will have a list of skilled jobs needed in America that they encourage foreigners to apply for. If you have an exceptional skill the US needs you would be welcome. Same for almost any other country.

The real unemployment rate in the US was 18% at the end of January and it's still rising. There are no jobs, except at a few McDonald's, and you cannot survive on those wages, and foreigners cannot visas for such low-level work. With so many millions of Americans out of work and desperately looking, do not bother looking for a job in the US. No work available for you.
