If a US passport is good in Europe for six months, How long do I have to wait to return to UK?

the same length of time you stayed in UK.

so if you were in UK for 3 months, then you cannot return to UK until 3 months after you left.

what do you mean about your PP being good in europe for 6 months? if it is due to expire - then you need to get a new one NOW
