I do one of those jobs you say americans won't do?

i think i may be able to trump some of you i delivered newspapers for 4 years and 7 months, 7 days a week. i only had 1 1/2 days off in all that time literally. i was a single mom and did it because it was a time where you would get fired for missing work my employer prior to this did not allow sick leave all time missed counted toward being fired. my children (3) were never sick at the same time and it is illegal to have your kids in school or daycare with a temp. i knew it was just a matter of time before i was fired for attendance. there were times when i went to work so puking sick delivering newspapers and my prior job. i delivered newspapers to accommodate my children and it met all our basic needs and i mean basic. i get sick of hearing their lives are hard they want a better life. life is hard, life here is hard, we all want a better life. the thing they miss is that in order for them to have a better life they are making our lives harder. if taking care of them and their kids comes at my families expense, our families expense, it will never happen.

Americans used to do all the jobs that they now can't do because illegals have lowered wages to the point where only willing slaves will take them.

I'm one of those Americans, too.
I work in the ag business as well---during the warmer months, I work in a nursery---and I do landscape jobs on the side. (Yup, and I'm a woman.) People neglect to mention that many of the jobs that Americans supposedly "won't do" are due to the fact that they pay next to nothing.
Americans will do ANYthing given proper compensation---otherwise, how does one account for plumbers who unclog toilets, and septic-tank cleaners?

I agree that there is no job that Americans "won't" do. There are lots of jobs that Americans won't do for the sub-standard wage that illegals will.

The difference is that middle class people can now afford to have landscapers and painters, whereas before they either did it themselves or went without.

Uh The Wiz, that's the point. Illegals taking jobs away from Americans who WANT to and do, do those jobs, because they will do it for peanuts. BTW, the crew that paved my driveway were all Americans.

That whole "Americans won't do those jobs" thing was started by a Democrat party propaganda guy. I've heard his name before but I don't remember it now. He also started the Walmart bashing going back to 2002. I don't know why the Dems are interested in negative campaign against Walmart. I thought that was kinda strange. Maybe because they're not union, and sell guns? I don't know. Anyway, their argument for reserving specific jobs for illegals (because legals won't do them) has died down somewhat over the past few months because Americans are beginning to realize that the statement is not true. And this propaganda manager (wish I could remember his name) doesn't want to become exposed pushing an idea after the opportunity for mass influence is over. I think landscaping is fascinating work - especially the creativity and the knowledge of the various materials and options required.

I think it is fascinating how illegal aliens and their supporters have convinced themselves that some jobs in America have never been done by an American. It is this type of lack of fact based mentality which has doomed them from the word go.

I agree with you because i and my family (going back to the 40's here in Phoenix AZ) have seen a blight overtake what was a decent place to grow up. I have been a mechanic for 15 years and an electrician for 8. Joined the electrical union because they have standards for workers including ability to speak english and do math.

My father is a mechanic, my grandfather a baker, my grandmother a hairdresser, my other grandfather a maintenance man at a east valley manufacturing plant.

Dont tell my family about jobs that americans won't do!

By the way..my grandfathers plant was closed and moved to Mexico in the 1980's forcing him into early retirement.

It's not that we wont do the jobs, we are smart enough to find another job when greedy employers get slave labor at much less than half of fair wages! Illegals are hurting themselves, depriving them and the rest of us of something besides slave labor.

my brother is 17 he lives with a friend and mom.my mom pays the mom 40 per week for food.my mom gives my brother 20-40 per week for whatever.he doesn't work.he knows no responsibility.(though he did get his G.E.D)this is what most Americans are like.they want money for sitting on their couch watching T.V.
this is how most other races see Americans.Americans would rather collect ssn,benefits,unemployment whatever before they take some of the tougher outdoor jobs.this is what people mean when they say they are doing jobs we don't want to do.
though there are people(like you and others i know)that will do those jobs.i just wanted to explain the answer to your question.i feel there always have and always will be someone who will do that work no matter the race or legal status.

I just think that everybody deserves a chance at a better life. It's as simple as that. Everybody deserves to be happy in life. And if that happiness comes from living in the United States, then they should be able to live in the United States.

Good, if you like to work hard outdoors 8 hrs a day. Not everyone wants to kill themselves doing that though. I bet you don't work as cheap as they do either.
Edit: My point is, if they can do it cheaper, why can't you? And if you can't, then why do you object to their hard work? They need to make a living too.
