In the US all are welcome who obey our laws. People who break laws are criminals. If you break the law coming into the country, then you are a criminal. Plain and simple.

If enter into this country compliant and consistent with all laws--Welcome! Glad to have you!

Otherwise--we don't want any criminals from foreign countries who dont speak english. We have enough problems dealing with the ones we have from the US.

No one is questioning humanity. Of course we're all people. However, not everyone is illegal or descended from illegal aliens. There are laws in this nation regarding immigration (have been since the government was formed under the Constitution), that ought to be observed, respected, and followed. Also, I suggest you study a little of the history of the U.S. Texas declared its own independence before it joined the U.S. And, I've never heard of anyone blaming Mexico or Mexicans for 9/11 - that's insane, whomever is saying that. What is a concern are the ones, like those who were planning the attack on Ft. Dix, that used the relatively open border with Mexico to gain access to this country. None of this has anything to do with race - it is about laws, security, and preservation of infrastructure.

I understand you wanting to come here for a better life and whatnot, but can all non-english speaking immigrants PLEASE learn to speak English?! It is quite irritating trying to communcate with someone who doesn't speak the native language of the country they are so desperate to live in.

If what you say is true about being born in the United States then at some point during your education you should have learned how to use English correctly. Such as spell check and Capitalization's.

Mexicans that do come to America legally do tend to be hard workers and take pride in themselves for coming here the legal way. They do not have to fear the police or hide in shame.

Why don't you Google illegal immigration and look at the statistics. Illegal immigrations have caused way more bad than good. If illegal immigrants are really innocent people that come here for a better life, then why are a large number of the fugitives on America's most wanted illegal immigrants?

I don't like how the Mexicans come here illegally, work under the table and pay no taxes then feel they deserve free food , clothing,housing and medical care, they think nothing of having 5-6 children that this country has to pay for, they are overpopulating and are a burden on our system. Come here LEGALLY and I won't have a problem with you at all, work and pay your taxes and buy the things you need and stop depending on us to pay your way, how can you think that is right? My family did not come here illegally and my family has worked hard for everything they have and did not depend on handouts to raise our children.Im not racist but, I don't appreciate being taken advantage of.

Your argument is ridiculous and naive. The United States welcomes legal immigrants. If Mexicans wishing to live in the US would come here and register in a legal way there would be no problem. Why should someone be able to sneak into our country, live and work here, and take advantage of all of our rights freedoms and infrastructure without contributing to it. Illegals are not subject to taxes or many other laws which maintain the health of our society. I think the better question is why are legal immigrants who came here legitimately and are contributing to society siding with illegals who are a parasite on our society.

Why just narrow your fight down to Mexicans ? I think any oppressed person,whether they be Mexican,Guatemalan,Bosnian,Russian,Ameri... Extraterrestrial,should be fought for if they cannot or do not know how to fight for themselves. Actually, what illegal immigrants have avoided is NOT entry to this country. We have no problem with immigrants.

We do have a problem when people skip the check for serious contagious diseases.

We DO have a problem when people avoid the check for a record of felony crimes.

Well, I am not illegal, my birth certificate is from the USA. No one person is better than another, and so no one culture is not better than another since the people make up the culture. If that's true, why is there a tidal wave of people swimming across the Rio Grande?

Why do these people want to come here, because it's safer? More opportunity? Better quality of life? If these are some of the reasons, they need to understand WHY it's safer her, WHY there is more opportunity, and why the overall quality of life is better. Much of it has to do with our laws, and our culture. I do not think it is right for someone to want to take advantage of these things, yet not obey and do their part in perpetuating these conditions. If someone refuses to obey the laws here, they should be deported.

Also, who called you a terrorist? Who blamed you for 9/11? I have NEVER heard of anyone blaming Mexico or Mexicans for 9/11.

I also think that anyone choosing to live in the USA needs to speak ENGLISH.

Hello marioa- I question your rationale "We are all illegal". What are you refering to exactly? The thousands of germans, Irish , Russians, and Italian are illegal despite the fact that they went through the nessecary steps to become a US citizen? The fact is that countless generations of diverse people have come to make America great. But they did it legally- through ellis island or tammany hall. If you questioned most people you would find that they lack the hatred of the mexican people that you have assumed to a hightened degree. America is against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, not Mexicans, Canadians, or any other nationality coming into the country legally. The hatred you may find while defending mexican rights is most likely a hatred that was pre-existant and the immigration debate is a way to express their hatred.

Yes you are correct A large part of the Now western United States was once apart of Mexico. That was prior to the Mexican-American War and after the treaty of Guadalupe-hidalgo where Mexico secceded that region and the United States paid a large amount of reparations. The states were won in war as have countless other geographical regions throughout the world since the beginning of time. The Roman Empire was once vast and stretched throughout Asia and europe, those lands were broken up at one point and are no longer apart of Italy and to my knowlege the italian people do not hold claims to there prior lands.

Part of the US USED to belong to Mexico. It does not belong to Mexico now. We have laws. We have borders. Other countries have borders and expect people not to cross them illegally. We have a right not to expect people to cross illegally as well.
So, if you bought a house, and the former owners just came back and moved in, that would be alright with you? They just come in and take over and say it used to be theirs, so it still is.
Honest people? They broke a law just crossing illegally. How honest is that? If I rob a bank, am I an honest person? Probably not by most American's standards.

You are certainly not dogs. You are human beings, unique in the eyes of the Lord and equal in value to anyone else. You may not be a criminal, dear, but you are breaking the law. Our law. There are legal ways to become a citizen of the United States. It is a difficult way to go, but many people have done it.

It just isn't right for a swarm of people to enter another country illegally, taking jobs, receiving benefits, frequently operating under fake identities.

The United States is going through tough times right now. In Michigan, the auto companies have laid off thousands of men and women. They have trouble finding jobs because Illegal Immigrants are taking them, offering to work at wages that aren't high enough for an American to survive.

Why do you abandon your home country? There are so many of you, why don't you fight for a better life, a more honest government, less drug traffic, more jobs, better pay....all of the things that Americans have fought for and gotten?

Instead, you have looked Northward, saw the prosperity that we fought and died to attain, and decided to come over and take it away from us.

I don't think we are all illegal. Apparently you are subject to a different set of laws than the rest of us, or you're time-traveling to the days before the U.S. government made the laws in this particular part of the world. Since the U.S. acquired the states you have named, the U.S. government has exercised sovereignty over them. Britain doesn't own India anymore, and Mexico doesn't own the states you named. The Mexican government doesn't even claim to own those states anymore. Your premise does not stand up to simple logic. Does that make me a racist?

I have no problem with HONEST people trying to make a living...HOWEVER, what I have a problem with is tax dollars supporting illegal immigrants....getting free health care, while hard working american citizens..even with insurance coverage...cannot afford the health care they deserve. I have a problem with illegals getting food stamps and welfare money when they have not put one red cent into the system. I have a problem with illegals working over here for cash....and taking less...and sending it to their country. They can afford to make less because we working AMERICANS....we have to pay taxes...pay for our health care...pay for our food. I have a problem with ANYONE who lives in this Country and does not speak ENGLISH.
