Would I need a Attorney to help Me with our K1 visa or can I do it on My own with out having any trouble from the USA office. How long would it take and what be the fastest way of doing things. I know My girlfriend for 4 years now and seen in in person 2 times in china

I agree with the above answer. I am in the k1 visa process now..my fiance will be going for his interview in a couple months, then he'll move here to the US.
No attorney is necessary, you can do it all yourself, its a waste of money to have one and i've seen many cases where the attorneys messed up a lot of ppl.
Also, the site he recommended (visa journey) has helped me sooo much too!

I'm immigrating my husband now. The situation is different from yours.
But we had wondered the same question... about a lawyer. A lawyer actually is burdened with more steps than if you do it yourself. All the pain in the butt paperwork is STILL your problem.
So try it alone first. Should you be denied. Use a lawyer for the appeal.
You can probably get it done faster yourself, I'm not having any problems with it, It's just a pain in the neck! And we are going permanent resident, with full right to work route.

I recommend one. While it will cost maybe $1500 more, it is worth it in the long run. Because if you do it yourself and make even one slip, the processing time could be much longer.
Just make sure the lawyer or consultant you hire has experience in this type of visa. |
