I struggle with Illegal's being here. What are your thoughts?

One of the most intelligent, difficult questions I have ever seen posted here! Great to see! In Jesus we realize that we are all brothers & sisters. Also, in the Bible, it tells us that even if the laws we live with are unjust, or the law makers corrup, we are to follow the laws of the land. That is clearly stated, but I am unable to come up with the info at the moment to refer you to. So rest assured, what the illegals do is contray to law, and to The Word. It troubles me as well, as I have empathy for their situations,k but they are causing many a problems and we have let it get way out of control. Both political parties have dodged the problems for years for their vote. and now, they are within reach of controlling the vote.

I have a problem only with the fact that Mexicans should learn the language.I hate all this English and Spanish choice. A thing old Ronnie Reagan allowed back in the 80's.You come here you learn the damn English.It hurts them by not learning the language.

Its a stuggle much like when your toilet is plugged up, you panick because it is about to overflow with everything in it and you struggle with the decision of, If I plunge now, things will surely overflow with the surge, on the other hand, maybe if I wait patiently, it will go down. Either way, it will still need to be plunged.

While I have empathy for others, I also realize I was lucky enough to be born here in the US and I have the right to take care of my family before the rest of the world. Since the rest of the world believes they come first and come here to take because they have needs, my needs suffer. As with the plight of the toilet, I believe its time to plunge/rid ourselves of the problem before it overflows into a worse mess.

I am sure Jesus expects people to obey the laws of the land. In the year 2008, ALL countries have the right and absolute NECESSITY to have immigration laws and enforce their borders.

The Bible tells you to follow the law of the land. There for you can't support law breaks. You can feel sorry for them , but you can't break the law.

This should not be a struggle at all.

Jesus would be appalled at people who profess to be Christians and haven't understood a word He said. St. Paul has a lot to answer for.
As far as 'illegals' are concerned, life would be a lot more simple if everyone in the UK had to carry an ID card and had to produce it when applying for work or benefits.
I live in a non-EU country, and I have a permanent resident ID card, which I have to produce when applying for work. I also had to carry an ID card when I lived in Hong Kong when it was still a Crown Colony.
Are you aware how many Brits leave the UK each year? More than enter.

This one is easy. Check out Mexicos Immigration laws. They are very STRICT. They deport anyone who is there illegally. 2nd offense, you do 2 years in prison. You cannot protest, work, become an offical. We need the same Illegal immigration policy as Mexico has.

That is not a problem at all. Jesus very clearly told us to obey the laws of the land.

The Catholic Church is asking this question. If the cause of the movement from the poor countries of Latin America to the United States was a case of nature destroying the country of origin, that movement is justified. If people are fleeing that country because the Government is corrupt and ugly, the solution is to cure the government.... it is not to impose a staggering burden on the taxpayers United States.

Further, if it is a case of a terrible government, it is the job of the citizens to change that government, and again, not trash our immigration laws and come and go as they like.

IN ADDITION to all of that, the primary reason the Latin American Countries are over populated is that the Catholic Church does not support family planning for those countries. They want the excess population of their country sent to a country that .does. believe in that responsibility of family planning.

The real cure... the real solution to all the over population problems in the Middle East, Latin America and Asia is .... family planning. I don't want anything at all to do with a religion who believes a woman should have ten kids and send nine of them off to another country to populate the United States, Western Europe or Russia.

The Church has to do one thing and now... now in a world that is overpopulated. They must face the problem they created by refusing to deal with family planning and they have to do that in the country they created the problem. "Save the Children"? Why in the world would we save the children if they will grow up unable to find the most menial work?

The United States, Western Europe and Russia saw that conflict of population and jobs a very long time ago and began dealing with it. The Catholic Church said poof... we will over populate this country, and then send the excess population to the countries that are not over populated.

No soap. Do family planning, or plan on the event of of over population in your country. Kennedy's plan for immigration is in full swing right now.. this minute.. and the consequences were ugly.

Look at this site.. and it exists because.. we came up with a lot more people than we planned on.

I'm sorry but I have a better perspective now than I once had.I once was all for illegal immigration but not after the experiences I have been through.

I was with two men who were illegal immigrants.
I drove them to and from work. I got pregnant with my son , this man I will call Enrique ,cheated on me and gave me Gonnahrea while I was 7 months pregnant for god's sake. He dragged my son into the middle of an argument( literally using him as a shield) when he was just 5 days old. This man was deported on DUI charges July 2006.

I was with another man, Manuel , I become pregnant with his child . I saw a similar pattern going on.Agruments incurred he threatened me for talking to a friend of mine who is a guy.He slammed me up against my couch 2 months pregnant and in front of my 2 yr old son.THIS time I said engouh and had him arrested on domestic assult charges.It turns out he had been doing cocaine all night. He had grabbed a knife and statred chopping his arm up.It was scary.He was deported February 2008.

LAWS ARE THERE TO PROTCET PEOPLE and SHOULD NEVER BE BROKEN.BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE LACK MORAL VALUES.In other words you can't always trust and expect that other people are going to do the right thing , sad yes :(

Well,look at it this way. God himself believes in strong borders or there wouldn't be heaven and hell. You also don't see him bending the rules because someone in hell wants to go to heaven for a better afterlife.

Every time someone brings God into the discussion of illegals being in any country that they are not suppose to be in illegally, I think of how God is going to conduct His heavenly Kingdom. He, Himself, is not going to allow everyone in that wants in. Isn't that what Christians say is written in His book of written words. God would want them to have come legally and not break the laws in doing so. Why should I or any other person feel different than what God feels about these things? I shouldn't have to, and I don't.

So it's only okay for anglos to invade and act like they own the land? Maybe the illegals want to model themselvs after the "lovely anglo Americans" and come without invite, establish themselves, and overrule those that were here before them. If the illegal are here just to make money, why not make it easier to become a citizen, or make them pay an illegal immigrant tax, instead of wasting money deporting them. They almost always come back anyway.

One way is the political law and one way is the religious law.

Sometimes they go together (thou shall not kill) and sometimes they don't.

I think that God isn't a way to justify a law, beause it is importiant to have seperation of church and state, but it may be a way to justify a personal opinion.

This being said, we are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of God. I think Jesus would lend a helping hand to his needful neighbors. God has his own set of rules, and I doubt he cares much for ours.

So, I don't think he would disapprove of illegals coming here to make a better life for themselves. I also don't think he would disapprove of someone withholding the laws of their country, as long as they had the right motives. But, I think that a lot of people have selfish motives, and I doubt God condones them.

All this of course is speculation, and just what I think a good person would do. I talk to God all the time, but the way he talks back isn't quite as clear. :)

But if I was to take a guess I would say God loves us all equally, so he wouldn't want a better life for one and not for another. He gave us the world, we made the borders.
