my father was rhodesian of anglo-scottish descent my mother is serbian but born in england and i was raised in south africa and served in the british army am i british?

i applied for citizenship but I have been waiting to hear back for ages 3 months now

If you served in the British army whether you fought for Britain or not, then I would consider you to be practically my brother. I am as British as Bovril, so that makes you British in my opinion.
Not sure where that stands in law though. If you have a British passport, I think I would call you a Brit mate. |

If your mother was born here, you could ask for British citizenship, but in my opinion if you fought for us, your British, and welcome. |

No, i'd say by that description you're South African. But if your mom was born in UK, then you will be entitled to residency in the UK and ultimately getting a UK passport would be possible. (although i think to get one, you would also need to be residing there).
Also, you say yr father is of anglo-scottish descent, then i presume at least one of his parents was born in UK. Based on that alone, you can claim UK Ancestral visa, which will allow you to live and work in UK for 4 years. After 4 years (uninterrupted) stay, you can then claim Permanent residence. After 1 year of perm. Res, you can claim UK passport. |

you are of british descent, but if you were born in africa, i tihnk you may be african. for example i was born in america, but my parents were both immigrants from france and germany i think, but im still american. but my nationality is german french etc. i think i might of got that rite..im srry if its wrong but i do believ eits right, hope that helps! |
