My girlfriend is from South Korea. We met in Australia whilst she was on a student visa. Her visa expired and she had to go back to Korea. We want to be together. We were thinking about getting married and getting a spouse visa. But we have only been together for 2 months and think it would be too early to get married. We don’t want to get a prospective marriage visa as the application process could take up to 6 months and requires her to be outside of Australia when the decision is made on the visa. Does any one have visa suggestions or know of an employer/s in regional areas or not that would offer a sponsorship visa or any other visa suggestions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Her best bet is to apply for a Working Holiday visa. That will allow her to stay and work for 12 months and can be extended to 24 months if she meets certain regional work conditions during the first 12 months.

Depending on her qualifications and the amount of study she did in Australia, she may also be able to apply for a Skilled – Graduate (Temporary) visa (subclass 485) but she will need to be in Australia to apply for that. That will lead to PR when she has sufficient work experience to apply for a permanent skilled work visa.

depending on her age she can apply for a 417 working holiday visa which allows her to stay and work in Australia for 12 months and also it can be extended for an extra 12 months. If she is over 30 she is not elligable and you should then apply for a holiday makers visa this is usually for a 6 month period and can be extended. if you still wish to stay together at the end of this visa apply for your spouse visa it can take up to 10 months for approval but your girlfriend can stay in Aust untill they make a decission |

Try a visit visa. Korea is an OECD so she should get it.
Another way would be joining a course and pulling out of it before 15 days. You lose some money and still need to apply for further visa |
