I contacted an attorney on this matter but it didn't seem like he wanted bothered. I've been with him for 7 months now and have no idea where to start or what needs to be done. I'm pretty sure it's possible. Can somebody please help!!!!!

Yes we are both over 21. When I contacted the immigration attorney he said my boyfriend would have to go back to his country for at least 18 months. He wanted 10,000 to become his attorney before he left the U.S. Just to get started. Money is not an issue at all. Us being separated for that long is. What does he need in order for us to apply for the marriage licenses and were do we go? Do I go about it the same way we would if he was American?

Immigration status has nothing to do with getting a marriage license and getting married.
As long as your fiance has a valid ID you can get a marriage license. Valid ID could be a passport, Matricular Consular, birth certificate, drivers license from his native country, or any other kind of government issued ID.
Contact your county clerk's office to find out what kind of ID he needs to bring.
Getting married will not change your fiance's immigration status. He would still have to go back to his native country and apply from there.
Is there any reason why you cannot join him there? |

You can marry him but that will not help him get legal nor will it keep him from getting rightfully deported. |

For the marriage license, just apply at your county clerks office, nothing different from if he was a citizen.
But after the marriage he will remain illegal and subject to deportation at any time. You can apply for a green card for him, however, as the attorney told you, he will have to return to his country for some time as he has been here illegally in the past. There is a waiver available for this, but you have to show hardship and it is not likely to be granted. If you don't want to be seperated, you can always move with him. |

I think if he entered USA on a visa "Legally" it will be possible to adjust his status in the country ....

As soon as you legally marry him, he becomes applicable for a US Citizenship. If the marriage is legal, then they probably won't deny his application. |
