No, we wouldn't. For one, they are only a drop in the bucket. What needs to happen is our politicians stop playing around and really do their jobs. All the pork belly programs out there that they try and usually succeed in getting passed through Congress or state legislatures, that's where most of our money goes to - that and the total mismanagement of government itself.

The poster who says that White WOmen are the most common welfare recipient is accurate....however, that statement doesn't tell the whole story.

52% of welfare recipients in the US are white; however the entire US is 70% white.

So the number of welfare recipients is disproportionately people of color.

I don't care what color receives it, as long as they NEED it, and as long as they are in the US legally.

Illegals are going to extinguish the middle class. How? They are vying for jobs as roofers and builders and bricklayers, which alot of americans have gotten skilled at. They should be paid well for the job they do. A bunch of illegals come in and work for 1/2 the price and you have just extinguished our american worker. He can't support his family on that, because he has to pay taxes and health for his kids, and his mortgage, yet he does not qualify for assistance. Lots of other stuff. Read the newspaper.

Feeding them isn't the problem. I'm not sure you are up to understanding the answer, but here it is: The big money associated with illegal immigration is the cost of educating the illegal immigrant's children and the medical costs associated with treating them, for free, in our hospitals.

Last year alone, in San Diego County, the taxpayers spent almost $100,000,000 on treatment for illegal aliens. That's one county and a tenth of a billion dollars. In Southern California over 70 hospitals have shut their doors under a mountain of uncollected debt for providing service to illegal aliens. Other hospitals are closing down their emergency departments which effectively locks the illegal out.

Serious studies put the net drain on the US taxpayers by illegal immigration at about $70,000,000,000 dollars... and this doesn't even take into account social costs (crime) and the lower wages unskilled Americans must accept in order to compete with illegals.

Are you talking about Mexicans or illegals? There are Mexicans legally living in America, you know. Also, illegals come from all over Latin America, not just Mexico. (There are also illegals from Europe, Asia, Africa, etc., but not nearly as many as from Latin America/Caribbean)

Assuming you are talking about illegals, taxes wouldn't go down, because the money that would be given to illegals would just be redistributed somehow. The government wants money and typically doesn't like to make drastic tax reductions, especially not those based on dropping of programs. If one program fails, there's always another that can start up or an existing program that doesn't get much money could get more.

probably not, but at least the emergency rooms and hospitals wouldnt be over crowded. There would be less traffic. Which would mean an extra hour of sleep. The streets and gutters would be cleaner. We wouldnt have to pay extra on our car insurance for uninsured motorists. Should I keep going.

If you are talking about illegals then no, taxes would not go down because illegals dont get a single penny out of your taxes since they are not us citizens. Illegals dont get any benifits like us citizens do. Some illegals still pay taxes even though they are not citizens. You couldnt stop feeding Mexicans because Mexicans are the ones who feed you. Mexicans are taking the jobs white people dont want. Mexicans do charge less in construction etc. but they do the work better and faster.

I think it's actually the other way around. The migrant and seasonal workers FEED us. If we took 1 million people out of the agricultural economy, we would not be able to feed ourselves.
