While wanting to work with the illegal immigrants that are here, that in no way stating that we are opening our borders. It only says that we do not have a system in place to handle the Illegal Aliens that are here and that it is easier to close the gate this time after some 11 or 12 million have got in. Doing this would effectively close our borders for a few years. As we work through setting up those that are here in programs dealing with Amnesty we will be using up future quotas of those groups coming in for the immediate future.

We do not have the manpower to enforce the laws that have been broken by these individuals so it is easier to move them through and process them in a legal way while working on shutting off our borders for future people coming across illegally. One must also realize that all of these people who are here illegally did not come in just during the Bush Administration, however his administration is trying to fix the problem.

That's funny! The boarders are open, or how did you miss 12 million illegal immigrants. The Government were just looking for drug smugglers while 12 million Latino's came across the boarder. I would think the odds of them having a few drugs, and weapons would extremely high, wouldn't you. Bush's Patriot Act is the real issue here; because it's toilet paper. America isn't under any threat, or 12 million walking, (WALKING) Latino's would have never made it into the U.S.. This whole scare the Americans into submission thing is ludicrous. We never got attacked when President Clinton was in office, so I think it is this administration way of creating mind control from the Conservative side. They couldn't get their greed out of the way long enough in order for anyone to really buy the story.

I say lets annex Mexico and make it a State. WOW, that would open up a lot of jobs, because we would have to fix up Mexico, and bring it up to U.S. standards. Dont have to worry about illegal aliens anmymore either. The southern border of Mexico is so small, that we could seal it easily to prevent south Americans from coming in. LOL

I would say about time. We are not going to effectively close borders, or stop illegal immigration. The only workable option is to open the borders and let people pass through legally. If they cause trouble bye bye, but if not and they contribute to society I say who cares! Bring em' on this isn't my land it belongs to God above, who gave it to us all, Black, white, olive, tan, green, purple, furry, etc. We as believers and followers are ALL the children of God, and SHARE in the inheritance of the land!!
