If Mexicans want to come here so bad, why don't they stay there, learn English, and then come here legally?

Many individuals from Mexico don't have access to computers and information about legal immigration --- and if they do, they don't have the money.

It's much easier for them to just sneak across the border. Besides that, our government lures them over.

No matter what you may hear -- English is the primary language of this country.

* I agree with what you're saying. If they are really searching for a better life, it only makes sense that they take the legal route & assimilate to this nation's cultures.. If they're legal, they don't have to worry about being deported & losing everything.

It's because they can come to the United States illegally, & get a way with it. And they don't have to learn English, because there are all Spanish speaking radio stations & t.v. channels already in the U.S.

well I live in San Antonio, TX. and it is almost split..... and some that have come over here are SOOOOOOOOOOO Rude! I mean like really, really, really, rude, like they are better than everyone! I am talking about the Mexican nationals, that go to all the exclusive clubs - DAMN I mean Stop pushing me in line, You will get there just as fast without pushing me!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry, and I am not racist or anything but, That is what I have noticed, why is that?? The need to cut people off and nearly make them crash, or cutting in line at subway, when I am clearly standing right there, then ordering 6 sandwiches, when I am only ordering one. DO you not have ANY common courtesy??

There is a legal way to come to the United States and I don;t think there should be any loop holes in that. Illegals get sent back! Illegals do not get benefits for their children if they are born in the US. The government doesnt assist then, just send then away. Perhaps there ought to be a penalty for when they are eligible to return legally.

A lot of the immigration from Mexico is need based. People aren't leaviing friends and family and culture because they think to themselves "The States would be fun." And its not a matter of just finding a better job. Rather its about trying to feed people and survive. Immigrating from Mexico legally right now would take about a decade. It would be hard to decide to chance legal aproval and the long long delays when your family is hungry now. Also, legally you don;t have to know english to move here, and few imigrants (proportionally) eve have. Some might want to, but do not have the opportunity, and will learn the langauge after ariving. If not, oh well.

the people that are doing this are not the rich or the affluent. they aren't sitting around on their broadband internet connections asking yahoo questions on how to get citizenship.

they are poor and miserable and are willing to risk breaking the law in a foreign country to try to save themselves and their families from poverty. how do you expect these people to pay for this education? and how do you expect these people to put food in front of their familes while they are doing it?

at some point, your family were immigrents too. don't forget it and act high and mighty because that day was in the past and not the present. i'm not sure if your question was from pure ignorance, but if it wasn't, be careful...thats borderline racism.

You are missing a lot of important points. We don't allow people into the USA just because they speak English. English is not our national language just because most of us speak it.
