any child of an American citizen is automagicly a citizen... also you are normally granted citizenship in any country you are born....
so in this case the child would be both |

Well...actually it all depends.
If you want to get technical with it, if the American parents were just staying in Canada (such as a vacation) and the child was born, the child would actually be American.
If I'm wrong, please correct me. |

not necessarily. just because that's true* in the US doesn't mean it's true everywhere else. a child born in canada may be eligable for canadian citizenship. it depends on the immigratin status of the parents.
