Yes, a Mexican can become an American citizen if married to an American in Mexico. My wife is an American and I am Mexican. We married in Mexico and lived there for some years. Later, she wanted to move back to the US and she applied for the I-130 petition for me to become a US resident at a Mexican Consulate. It took less than a year and I got my green card. After 3 years as a US resident (and living in the US of course), you can apply to become an American citizen. That's it; I hope this helps. |

If you have a "Acta de Matrimonio" you are legally married in both countries. Your spouse can apply for a visa for you to enter the US legally. You then get a green card. After having said green card for 3 years you can apply (actually 2 years and 9 months) for citizenship. |

Not one bit, the only way is if they had a child the child would be considered one because the other person would be american, but other than that no. |
