If an australian citizen was 37yo and never has been on the electrol or voted but still a hard working citizen?

I am older than you and also not on the electoral roll and yes I work and pay taxes. In theory you can be fined $100 or $200 (I am not sure how much) for not voting.but there are tens of thousands of people not on the rolls , whenever people change address they are supposed to inform the electoral people but lots forget or don't bother.If you are worried then just enrol , get a form from the post office and fill it in , otherwise just sit tight and see what happens.

What are the consequences of not being on the electoral roll? Very little. Don't worry about it. You will only be found out if the electoral visitor comes to your house and someone tells them that you live there and are not registered. The fine is only about $110 and if you finally register, they never fine you for not having registered before.
