If asylum seekers are so glad to get out of their country, why do they cross 3 or 4 others to get here?

Okay!!!!!!!!! I understand where you are going with the question and I totally agree with you. But I think it's because they go to countries that will allow them to stay becausethey have immigration laws which will give them asylum and not extradite them.

Because they know they can get everything here, no need to bring a begging bowl with them. It really annoys me when i think my tax money goes to support them and then the cheeky bas***rds do nothing but complain when they're here, they actually expect us to change our ways to suit them. The ones I asked said they thought that they would prefer the way of life here, already knew some of the language having been brought up on US TV shows and knew they only had one chance to settle so picked the UK

I think it's organized crime. Someone somewhere is actively encouraging all of this, and the sooner someone steps on their 'fun', the better it'll be for america. Nailing the US/Mexico border shut to illegal immigration will then put the ball in Mexico's court, and cause a lot of mexican citizens to have to sit down and re-think their ethics and career choices...

I was a police officer at a London airport and a group of Slav illegals were found in a lorry just before it went into x-ray. Immigration were unavailable immediately so we took them back to the nick and made them a cup of tea. The leader of the group spoke pretty good English and I put that question to him. He said that it was well known in his country that people are treated with humanity in England. In none of the other countries he had crossed would he and his Friends have been given a cup of tea by police. They would have most probably been beaten in some. At that moment one of my WPCs came in with, of all things, a plate of biscuits, courtesy of the super's stock. The chap laughed and said that we don't know how lucky we are to be living in a civilised country.

He went on to say that anyone from Britain would be treated with respect in his country although some nationalities would not due to a tortured history.

So what would you like our police to do? Treat them with contempt, violence and inhumanely? The immigration service is laughably underfunded and does its best under extreme pressure. So it is apparent that the Government doesn't see illegal immigration as much of a problem. Mind you, would mind treating some politicians with contempt, violence and without humanity.

because we (as do the rest of europe) have signed up to an agreement to take a percentage of refugees. This prevents the countries on the border of the country people are fleeing getting flooded and shares the burden out accross several nations (we only take something like 2%)
