They are enforced, maybe half would self deport, but most are using fake papers to work or living off the income of their anchor babies. Only thing that will work is going after the criminals themselves. |

Well actually there is a voluntary government program called E-Verify.
some states have passed laws requiring all employers to use the e-verify system for all new employees. In states that use this, like AZ, SC, OK, lots of illegals have left. There are also many states who have similiar bills pending in their state assemblies. I imagine that this will become law in about 30 states. |

Probably 50-60% would self deport after they figure they can not get employed, the remaining illegals who are self employed would only reach an obstacle if they were required to prove legal status when applying for contracts and before being hired to do a job, that would be about another 20%. |
