Yes. If you have documentation proving that you have assets like real estate, bank accounts, etc. then it will help you a lot. If it is a big amount then, yes. Check the I-864 USCIS form guidelines.
You have to prove that you will be able to support and provide for your wife and that you will not become dependents of the government and by proving that you have sizable assets means you have something to fall back on. Good luck! |

Not in the UK. People need to show 'stability', which can mean living in a run down flat, a minuscule income, british citizenship, and a little bit saved. The reasoning being that the person fro overseas is not entitled to claim anything from the state, so must not cost it anything in deportation or other stuff.
That's what I found with my wife. The daft thing was that I had done some work for her brother in law, already knew her as well as anyone else getting married, and still had to go through all this palaver. |
