I'm white and my husband is Hispanic. Both of us criticize immigration right now. I don't think that either of us is racist, were just both tired of working are butts off to support illegals.

If you criticise immigration, or immigration policy in general, relating to immigrants of all nationalities with no regard for race, creed or colour, then certainly not.

If you criticise immigration only involving black or Asian people (for instance), specifically because they are black or Asian, then you can be legitimately called racist.

Immigration or "Illegal Immigration" (which is the big problem the USA is dealing with right now), is not about "race", and if you criticize illegal immigration you are not a "racist'.

Those people who tend to yell "racist" at anyone who wants our immigration laws enforced, are ignorant of the issue, and in their ignorance they have no grounds to support their point of view, and so they use the word "racist", hoping that it will somehow make you look "bad", when all it does is make them look uneducated, and on the wrong side of the issue, with their pants down and nothing intellegent to say.

People who support illegal aliens, and "demand" amnesty for illegal aliens are in fact, promoting criminal behavior, supporting criminals, and too ignorant to realize they are destroying their own futures, and the futures of their children.

Not necessarily, but if by criticizing immigration you mean saying something like "those illegals (mexicans) are lazy and criminals" then, yes that is a racist statement- because you're implying that all illegal immigrants are mexicans and that mexicans, as a group, are lazy or criminal. PLENTY of people write stuff like that here- and yes that is racist

It depends on the context, international politics is tricky, refugee crisis' occur because idiots go to war for oil, water and other resources, religion clouds the issues further and racial intolerance followed by violence is the result.

Waring factions coming over here to continue the fight because the home and foreign office are incompetent, mainly because the foreign office is seen as a cushy career with opportunities to travel rather than a caring role and Whitehall is arrogant and racist, so are their children.
