The I-140 approval doesn't grant you any rights to travel out of the US and reenter. It only grants you the right to file for an adjustment of status (or get an interview appointment at a US Consulate) when your priority date is current.
As the other answerer stated, you will need an H-1B, L-1, or O-1 visa stamp in your passport to re-enter the US.
The other option is, if your priority date is current, you can file for an adjustment of status (Form I-485) and also file for work (Form I-765) and travel (Form I-131) authorization. The travel authorization will allow you to reenter the US after traveling abroad. It will take about 3 months to process after filing.
Lastly, this is all assuming that your mother country is not Iran, Cuba, Sudan, or Syria. |
