yes you can you inherit it , according to this website http://www.ukimmigration.com/family/uk_citizenship.htm , but i guess it may required the u spend at least 2 years in uk or it's territories |

if he was born in scotland AND he was married to your mother, then yes you can apply.
You will need to have YOUR birth certificate, his birth certificate and his wedding certificate as proof. |

Yes, if he was born in Scotland (or anywhere else in the UK) and had at least one British parent, you are a British citizen by descent and can apply for a British passport if your parents were married at the time of your birth.
