Makes sense, but I have a better idea. Remove welfare all together. That will make 1/3 of the illegals want to leave since they can no longer have a free ride. Next, arrest and fine ANY employer that hires illegals. That will eliminate the remaining 2/3 and they will all go home.

There are about, per Fox News, around 12 million illegals in the country.

Our national unemployment rate right now is around 4%

4% of 300 million is 12 million.

All of the jobs done by the 12 million illegals in this country can now be filled by the American workers that are no longer receiving welfare.

we don't need them, and WE WILL MAKE IT WITH OUT THEM. i took my daughter to the Dr's today so she can get an exam to play basketball. i saw 3 men today cutting the grass at this Dr's office building. i recognized the owner, white middle aged man, he had two mexicans working for him. last year he had 1 black kid and 1 white kid working for him. i wonder where the 2 boys are going to get the money they need to help save for collage? it's sad to see our young Americans pushed to the side for illegals who are breaking the laws.

Last year when they marched in protest it was like a vacation day for me.
It was very pleasant on the streets because there wasn't bumper to bumper traffic
And shopping was a breeze because the stores weren't congested with hordes of illegals.
It felt more like a holiday than anything else.

Why don't they make it a Holiday and protest every year?
All the illegals can gather together and march till their hearts content and protest.
That will at least give us one day of relief from having to deal with them.
But your idea seems to good to be true.Two full months without them taking our jobs,stealing our languange,breaking our laws,telling us how to change our laws to appease them,discriminating against us everyday,spiting in our face and telling us WE have to accept it because they have more rights than we do?
That would be a dream come true and too good to ever actually happen.
For years I have felt like a foreigner in my own Country and am treated like one.
It sure would be nice if that were to change.

I agree with the person that said that the only thing is it should be forever. It's time for their country to support them instead of encouraging them to cross our border. I wonder how it feels to have no one want you? Actually, I really don't care.
Oh, and BTW, I don't know this years' stats, but last year during the protests crime decreased as well as traffic accidents. Hmmm...

To the person who was worried about the ACLU stepping in. We will probably have to remind them that the ACLU stands for the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union.... And true, just think, if we dinied them welfare, they would leave anyway (No Free Lunch) and then think about all the good we could actually do with that money for ACTUAL AMERICANS in need.

First they would have to organize into a union.

That would make them look even more deliciously attractive to bottom-feeding vote hos.

Then they would demand higher pay and better benefits...

But, the employers could no longer fire them regardless of performance because they are unionized.

I've had the misfortune of reading some of your Q's and A's. You are so far right that it borders on racism. Hatred for even your fellow citizen is astounding. Your incendiary, sarcastic comments only further alienate those who wish to find common ground for progress. Most grade school students can provide the kinds of amateur statistics you provide here. You are no scholar by any means, nor am I, but I would expect better from someone who takes interest in such important matters.

Immigrants are here to stay, legal or otherwise, like it or not. They are and have been an accepted fixture in this country since it's inception. You may not like it, and perhaps the majority may not like it either, but you are grossly mistaken if you think that policy will change. You have a massive hurdle to overcome in Big Business and the private sector among other entities. Just who do you think you are fighting? Have you even pondered it?

I won't ask you to put yourself in their shoes because that is something I'm sure you're incapable of doing Mr. Perfect. Your world is yours and you earned it and no one has the right to be in it without having your blessing, I understand. What about the millions of legal aliens that you alienate with this rhetoric? Could you put yourself in their shoes? For a day? For just a minute? Are you so completely sapped of compassion that you must now turn against your own brothers and sisters? Don't get me wrong, I don't have a bleeding heart. I understand the problem very well, but it's hard to come to any kind of solution when people like yourself promote the kind of ideology that gets societies into more trouble by inciting hatred, discrimination, and the nationalistic chest pounding. We cannot afford to make an enemy of Mexico and Hispanics worldwide. Which nationality will be next Mr. Perfect? How many different wars do you want to fight before you realize it's a lost cause? There are so many implications that you either refuse to even acknowledge or brush off as insignificant that it's a wonder you care at all about the growth of American economy, society and life in general. I haven't provided you with numbers or statistics or even evidence to disprove your opinion, because frankly, I'm tired, and you are entitled to your opinions. I don't think it would help anyway but I don't know what else to do to promote healthy discussion that would provide possible solutions from ordinary citizens like you and I in such a grand forum as this, and at the same time prevent such hostile and devisive partisanship. Most of us are just decent people looking to get ahead and live a good life, perhaps provide a better one for our children. I am not afraid that a Mexican is going to steal my job or rob me or move in next door. Granted, I don't live in a poor neighborhood but even if I had, if it were not a Mexican, it would be an African American, or a Puerto Rican, or an Asian, or a European, or maybe even my Mother.
