People will always look for places to get a better life, that's inevitable.

There is legal and illegal immigration. Those that break our immigration laws are criminals and should be dealt with as criminals.
Those that employ illegals should be sent to jail for at least six months. Thank God we have Senator Russell Pearce in Arizona, the author of the Arizona Illegal immigration bill. too bad the Federal government at the direction of Obama will not enforce our immigration laws. |

AMERICAN BORN EAST INDIAN >;)

Dude..its not "natural". For one thing, I have to say that every American here is an immigrant from some stand point being that their ancestors were. That is..unless you are fully native American. Now back to the initial question. It is not natural if the country has made laws to say that it is illegal for people to come in. It would be better to say that it is more "natural" to spend the time to get the right paper work filed through the permission of the country as it applies to the law. The U.S. does not have problems with foreigners but it surely has a problem with people who come here illegally. |

Perhaps...
illegal entry
illegal employment
tax evasion
driving without a license
driving without auto insurance
identity fraud
identity theft
human smuggling
American taxpayers supporting the education of citizens of another country
millions of dollars spent on incarceration of illegal aliens ($25k/inmate) http://www.nicic.org/features/statestats/?State=CA
California paying over $10 BILLION in costs associated with illegal immigration.

Do you need more reasons or is the above bad enough?
So it appears that you are for open borders.
Well, the population of the USA is 310 million. The world population is 6.8 billion. So USA's population is about 5% of the world's population.
What do you think will happen if the USA has open borders? There are 1.3 billion people in China and 1.2 billion people in India. If only 15% of the people in China and 15% of the people of India have the desire and $1,000 for an airplane ticket to come to the USA. The population of the USA would double from just these two countries. Think about all the other countries in the world who want to come to the USA. I happen to be a LEGAL immigrant and citizen from China and I can easily imagine at least 25% of China's population wanting and able to come the USA. Now how chaotic do you think that would be if the USA and all other countries didn't enforce their immigration laws? So maybe it's time for you to rethink why people complain about illegal immigration. |

it is not a "natural" thing.....
maybe if you are a mexican it has become a "lifestyle"....
but then again, what does that tell you about the character, values, and morals of illegals and others who willingly "invade" another country and demand rights there they are not entitled to?
MIGRATION IS NATURAL IN ANIMALS.....NOT HUMAN BEINGS.
secure our borders, capture and deport the criminals---ban them from re-entering the United States for the rest of their "natural" lives. |

There is nothing natural about breaking the laws of a society that is trying to secure its borders |

People will always look for places to get a better life, but it should be not at the expense of others or the Host country's Citizens. Since ancient times all society or tribes were always reluctant to let non citizens to merge into their society without converting to their way of life or through marriage, which hardly happens as non citizens or tribesmen are usually slaves, except for merchants from other kingdoms or tribes trading with the host country.
The founding fathers were colonizers, but it was their constitution and their bill of rights that lays the foundation for the system of government for this land, and why people all over the world wishes to come to america. The Indigenous native did not have complex government with a written document for they had no written language, nor did they have the might to keep control of their territories, just as the Southwest was gained from a corrupt sovereign without the might to keep it ( opposed by both the U.S. and the Indigenous natives). The Indigenous natives had to become apart of the U.S. and it's society. There were problems with their relationship at first, but were resolve in time.
The Germans, Italians, Romanians, Portuguese, Russians, etc. All abandoned their native language after 2 or three generations. But all did conform to having to learn English. Not all can be fluent but even broken understandable English should suffice as English is the language of the constitution, and all nationalities should be able to communicate to each other under One language not two. Spain or their former territories did not Write the constitution. Other nationalities shouldn't be forced to learn two languages just so the other language not of the Constitution can be spoken without having to learn the language of the "Constitution".
Mexico will deport "legal immigrants" who could not feed themselves and prevent them from obtaining jobs away from it's own citizens because free loaders are a burden, and they will not let anyone stay at their citizens cost, welcomes job makers. Countless other countries will not allow illegal immigration at their own expense. |

Just because someone wants a better life does not give them permission to break the law to do so. |

No country in the world allows people to enter their country illegally. Why would anybody expect the USA to allow it?
The USA already accepts more legal immigrants than any other country in the world, and also has more ILLEGAL ALIENS than any other country as well.
Illegal immigration is a crime. Committing crime is not "natural" in human beings. |

I have a comment somewhat related, illegal immigration seems to be illegal to foreigners who desperatly want to come to the US, etc. For instance, Poland and Central America have long long long lines of people who have already paid a large sum of money to get a 5 minute appointment to hear a US embassy official say no, and here's a paper" that gives genaric reasons why they might have been denied.
What most don't understand is that illegals first try to come here legally then pay someone 5-30K (depending on the country in dollars of course) to get here the only possible route they can come here, illegally, because refugee status is nearly impossible, TPS only happens, for the most part when you're here and you're still not considered completely legal and a visa is a temporary stay that makes you leave in less then 90 days with no opportunity to work.
BUT if you are from France, Spain, England, you are welcomed to the US with wide open arms while they talk about (and rightfully so, just with this example) how stupid the americans are!
It's insane! |
