If mexico was a state would you still complain?

i was thinking about this. You dont see many people complaining about people who live in one state, and work in another. Example is here in portland oregon, we have a lot of people who live in washington, yet work in oregon. But i dont see anyone complaining about these people and how they bring all their money back to the other state and dont spend it in oregon. How the washington sales tax gets to earn money when off the income earned in oregon. So why the double standard?

And to go with the title, if mexico was another state, so they entered into a Union of sorts and had our pay rates and health care paid by our government, and they were all citizens of this new country, would you all be complaining still that mexicans were taking your jobs? even though they are now part of the same country?

a very racist state, so much like the south was during slavery. Amazing how we survived during the slavery times but people seem to not be able to handle the idea of surviving another one.

And yes, i'm comparing working in one area and spending the money in another area. And paying different governments, washington vs oregon.

Yep. A lot of people live in mexico and work in the US. See our border states for the sad state of affairs for allowing such nonsense... We dont need mexico as much as mexico needs us.

But Mexico is not a state. It is a seperate country. They don't share the federal taxes, laws, military spending, federally funded roads, common social security etc that Washington and Oregon share.

Well, well. Guess the concensus has been reached on this one? Nobody wants to be associated with Mexico, even if Mexico were just one of our states. Good news, we don't get to choose on that- they've just decided to turn our ENTIRE country into Mexico Jr.! Have any of you tried to get a job in the City/County/State lately? I did, guess what- don't speak the new language. Can't rent a house either.
