If pregnant by someone from another continent, will the baby automatically have dual citizenship?

So I'm not saying I am, but if there is a possibility of becoming pregnant by someone from the UK (and I am from the US) what will happen to the baby's nationality. Will I have clearance to go back and forth to see the father? And also, will it make it easier for me to obtain dual citizenship?

citizenship is NOT automatic. You have to REGISTER the baby at the embassy of the country where the foreign parent is from.

for example - if the baby is born in UK and has a US parent, then the US parent must register the baby with the US embassy in London (or a consulate if there are any). Vice versa if the baby is born in USA - baby must be registered with the UK embassy or consulate. The embassy will issue a certificate of citizenship which is used to get a passport.

Contact the embassy concerned and they will send out the forms and checklist for (copies of) documents required.

Not necessarily, as that depends on where the child is born. being merely pregnant is not enough

If the child is born in the UK, because you are the US citizen, the child can have dual citizenship. It is best to check withthe country, as citizenship rules vary

NO. It is dependent on the country for one thing. You also usually have to register the birth with the other countries consulate (embassies deal with political leaders, consulates with the issues of citizens of both countries pertaining to that country) A consulate may be in the embassy compound which confuses a lot of people.
For example: British citizen father and US citizen mother would allow the child to have dual citizenship as both countries allow dual citizenship.
British citizen father and Mexican mother and the child could not have dual citizenship as Mexico doesn't allow dual citizenship.
In the case of a British citizen father and US citizen mother the child would not help the mother get British citizenship.
