No, it's not fair. What we SHOULD do is: 1) If people are here because they want to stay, then we should be helping them to become legal. 2) For those who only want to come here, work for a few months, then go back home, we should be giving them temporary work visas.

When ICE captures illegals, the illegals should be put into detention camps in the Nevada desert . The expense of supporting them should be billed to their relatives in Mexico who were being sent funds by the offender. The offender should not be released until they pay $3,000 plus the expense of tranportation back to the border. While staying in the detention camps, offenders should be made to work on border fortifications to prevent more of their countrymen from breaking U.S. laws by entering our country illegally.

While they are lodged in the detention camps, they should be educated as to who their REAL enemy is - their own government........... Norteamericanos (U.S. citizens) are not responsible for the poor conditions in Mexico. As a matter of fact, many U.S. citizens contribute to the Mexican economy by spending scads of money at Mexican vacation spots (which should stop IMMEDIATELY). Mexican illegals should be charged with getting their own country in shape, before they criticize U.S. policies.

Insofar as the U.S. being the land of freedom is concerned - Americans have the freedom to do as they wish SO LONG AS THEY DO NOT BREAK U.S. LAWS. Americans are not free to break their own laws so why should foreigners be allowed to do so???

You missed the most important detail. They don't deport just Mexicans. They deport illegal mexicans. Why is it fair to come here legally, but now the immigration process is all screwed up because of the 12 million illegals who have come here illegally. Illegal Immigrants have no rights. They are not citizens, and have no place walking in our streets demanding the rights of legal American citizens. It's the AMERICAN CONSTITUTION not the American/Mexican Illegal Immigrant constitution.

This is land of the free for the citizens of this country , not just anyone that decides it's their right to just show up. As to when they apply the right way their are denied, we have the right not to have to import the poverty from other counties, this is the reason why they are denied. If I went to the bank every day and asked for money , and they turned my down, so does that mean after the 10th time of being turned down, I can rob the bank? As for deporting the Mexicans, no they found their way here, and they can find the way to their own country the same way

Yes, because they are not US citizens. I doesn't matter what country they come from, we have immigration laws that everyone follows, and just because you managed to sneak or lie your way into the country doesn't mean you are entitled to stay. We cannot absorb every person in the world.

People keep confusing "the land of freedom" and "immigration" with Illegal immigration. Most of us have no problem with people wanting to live the American dream and come to the "land of opportunity" HOWEVER....They need to do it the legal way....They need to apply for citizenship and wait their turn. Sneaking in and hiding out is not the way, First of all, it is breaking the law to be here illegal. If you are not in the United States legally then you need to be sent back. Our resources are now low for the people who were born and raised here because so much of our tax money goes to give assistance and health care to people that do not belong here. We have elderly that can not afford medication, children that can not have medical care....We are much over due for enforcing laws that have been laws since the beginning but never enforced. And now people that are here illegally seem to think that they have the right to complain, protest and have some legal right to muscle their way through it all. I am all for immigration enforcement......I don't have a problem with immigrants...I just have a problem with the illegal ones.

Land of freedom is for the ones who come here legally, paying their way here. Not sneaking into the country, not paying taxes, having fake ids, working under the table, and having kids just to give them US citizenship. If they want freedom they need to come legally and do things the right way. If we went to another country we would no way be able to sneak in .. too tight of security.. Freedom is earned when you come here legally...

If they do not come through the normal and legal process then yes, deporting them is fair and right!!

Also, they are NOT REJECTED when they go through the legal process!! They REFUSE to go through the process because they THINK it takes too long!!

YES , it is fair . Why should they be granted Freedom when they sneak into our country ? No illegals should be given anything !! My ancestors had to go through the proper channels to get here , why should we support people who crawl over/under the wire ? Politicians are just too afraid to step up and say " That's it , no more "!!!

A better question is it fair for them to ignore the law. Trying to make a better life is good if done the right way. Sneaking across the border is against the law. Fair is that they get deported for breaking the law. The reason they do it is not revelant.

Come on people it's F****** wrong to illegally immigrate into ANY country to draw welfare and social security (a free living without paying in a damn thing). It a very horrible human trait to expect to get something for nothing and it's wrong that people let them do this. It's not fair to those immigrants to spend all the time to do the right thing and get legal to watch these illegals come over and get the same (maybe more) rights then them. Plus how crappy can a person be to move into a foreign country and expect to not learn the national language? I took the time to learn spanish/german so when I went to these countries for a vacation I didn't just stand around pissed ,looking for someone to translate for me.

Deporting the ILLEGAL ones is absolutely fair. That's the only real issue in the immigration debate but SOME of us keep getting high-centered on the misconcept that it's about all immigrants and that it's a racist issue. Not so.

I have nothing against people coming to this country. That's how America was formed. What I have a problem with is some come in Illegally. To me, if they start their freedom off by performing illegal acts, then whats to stop them from not committing illegal acts when they finally become citizens? In the 1700s when america was first forming, there was no law against coming here. But today, there is a law for coming in illegally. ************Plus, people don't pay attention very much because even U.S. citizens' rights and freedoms don't technically kick in until they are 18.

Excuse me? Do you really believe that we should let any Mexican live here if he or she desires? Doesn't matter if our country becomes overpopulated with poor, third world types who don't know the meaning of the rule of law. Why don't we just give over everything we have worked for and let the place be used up so that we have to immigrate to Canada?

This aint friggin Walmart, it is a soverign nation with laws, get it through your thick skull, we do not owe anything to Mexico. We can deport anyone we damn well please, and yes it is fair. Freedom is not free and the right to live in this country belongs to the people who are here legally.

It's only fair if they are not willing to conform. If they come here to get a job, pay taxes, and contribute to our society, let them stay. If they are just coming over here for a free ride, to not contribute to our system by paying taxes for the government services they use (ie sending their kids to public schools, medicaid, food stamps), then send them back. That is my opinion.

i find deporting (illegal) Mexicans more fair than me wasting my tax dollars on anchor babies, jail sentences, educating illegals, paying more taxes so that they can have free medical and dental care.. food stamps, housing allowances.. mortgage loans etc... J P Morgan. Wells Fargo. Chase, Citi Group and 5th /3rd banks all offer mortgage loans to illegals.. seems fair ......... how

No, and we should have a lottery among all other Americans living here as a result of immigration - with those selected being deported along with every Mexican on a one to one basis.
