i dont give a flying f**k, this is my country and i shall be proud of that, Salisbury's have done nothing more than damage their reputation and i foresee a drop in sales after such a ridiculous comment. my family have worked hard for generations and we intend to stay that way. we will always own properties and inheritance is a natural part of family life, Eastern Europeans will struggle to achieve what my family has and with that knowledge i rest soundly at night. xxx

I guess the same as when americans are accused of being fat, loud, brash, big headed show offs. it's a small minded way to live life, to label people on their nationalities. i've answeredalot of questions on here when brits say that stuff about americans and I always say that I know some americans and they're great people, although i know not all americans are. just the same as not all brits are great, some are horrible people. it's a personlity thing not a nationality thing. i'm tattooed but have gotten negative and positive reactions to it. Not everyone is the same, keep an open mind.

Wellll... on balance its not entirely unfair. The downside of our benefits system is that it has encouraged some people to believe they will be looked after even if they do not work. In Eastern Europe you either work or starve, so they are more motivated.

And I'm not saying we should get rid of benefits, because I know many people genuinely need them. So don't hassle me about that.

It did not say that. The supermarket, Sainsburys said that all foreign workers of theirs had a very good work ethic, better than local work ethics but did not add the other BNP stuff like ponces and rubbish.

It is expected that they will anyway because they come to work to support families back home and we are into "My rights"

I am British. I am not lazy, fat, stupid, nor do i claim any benefits. However i do know a lot of people that choose to claim benefits rather than work but surely if you were better off by claiming instead of working, it isnt the persons fault. Its the governments.

I'm not, so I could care less.

However, there are plenty of people on here whining and whinging about immigration and particularly immigration from Eastern Europe, who in a few years will be on here moaning about the Poles, Lithuanians, Latvians, Slovakians and the like and their tendency to live in big houses and drive big cars. And they will not for the life of them understand how these people will have come here and managed to do better than them in their 'own country'.

That's never been said to me but if I take a look around at people on the street then I can see where it comes from.
It's a much more accurate, modern an up-to-date stereotype than the stiff upper lipped gentleman (I'm sad to say).
I have to agree with it. This country is full of home grown scum with no respect for themselves or their fellow countrymen. We see some very decent hard working and respectable workers coming from abroad (Poland for example) and they often put us to shame.

Well i am British and none of those things, nor anyone i know, and if i were told that i would tell the person to naff off. And why is that people from Eastern Europe are all heading for these shores, because of a better way of life presumably, so we must be doing something right.

I Think I'm Growing Up!

My bus driver today was from eastern europe and he didn't speak english or understand the currency. Fellow bus passengers had to do his job giving people directions and how much stuff costs! Now who gives a dam if we're tattooed with the biggest breasts in europe!

I look for work everyday,even weekends,im a perfect weight for my height,no tattoos,have a good education and am equal to all humankind.
