Every presidential election is like an IQ test, and for the last 5 times the US has demonstrated that it's not retarded (that didn't matter in 2000 or 2004, both of which were stolen (Florida,Ohio)). Americans will do the right thing in the long run if they're allowed to. They're not evil, never have been, just a little gullible maybe, easily manipulated by appeals to patriotism. I could wish they were a little smarter, but then I should talk living in Canada where we can't even figure out how to vote strategically to keep an *** like Harper from forming the gov't. |

American are arrogant about other countries etc. Very inward people. The politics of the government of the USA are a different matter entirely. I think the USA's foreign policy is very arrogant and patronising, and I think it gives the country a bad reputation. They are drastically different. Europeans (from what i have seen and encountered) are less selfish, more about the community and what is best for people as a whole and not just themselves. Being here and watching the people here has taught me that I was just as typical as the next American. All about me and my needs and my wants. Its a hard lesson to learn but I am learning it nonetheless. |
