America has an embassy in Hanoi and a consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, so yes, we do have official diplomatic relations with Vietnam. President Bush made an official visit there several years ago. So, certainly it's possible now that you would be deported if you're still a green card holder. If you're a US citizen, then no it isn't possible.

I sure hope you are deported. We have an abundance of our own criminals. We don't need those from others countries.

Probably not. The US does not have formal diplomatic relationships with Vietnam. There are many ongoing cases in the courts of the right of the United States to keep deportable aggravated felons in jail after they have served their sentences in the US just because they cannot be deported to their country of citizenship/birth.

Depending on what kind of crime, is it a misdemeanor or felony? If it is a felony, then you surely would be deported before you become a citizen of the U.S., which means if you are a green card holder, you will be deported too if you commit felony.

If your legally in the US and the crime was committed more than 7 years ago and the crime wasn't murder then your good.

Statute of limitations is 7 years on almost if not every crime but murder.
If your in the country illegally don't worry, so is Obama
