Immigrants legal or not do a whole lot of jobs that 99% of Americans wouldn't do and even if we somehow forced everyone of the unemployed to work there wouldn't be enough people to fill ALL the jobs that immigrants do.
The US economy wouldn't crash per se but would be placed in a serious world of hurt.
Thank God for all the hard working immigrants in our country. Remember that ALL OF OUR FOREFATHER WERE IMMIGRANTS! |

No, I don't think so. |

Absolutely not. We may have to start paying the right amount for certain products instead of the savings we get by employing illegals for under minimum wage. Also, certain businesses, like rental properties, may take a hit. But quite frankly, if you're profiting from illegals, then it's your own fault. |

NOT A CHANCE, IT WOULD IMPROVE:
The following 10 facts have been pulled from the LA Times.
1. L.A. County has 10 million people. 40% of all workers in L.A. County are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.
2. Of the 10 million people in L.A. County, 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak only Spanish.
3. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
4. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
5. Over two-thirds of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
6. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
7. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
8. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
9. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
10. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish language only |

Our economy would boom. Illegals are HUGE net drain on our economy. We spend many times the amount they produce, supporting them. And many times that dealing with all the crime they bring here (35% of everyone in prison is an illegal alien....almost all mexican). |

Crash? NO. It would just take a small adjustment period until everything balances out. We'd all be fine. |

I think there could be some problems but the way to solve a lack of a medial work force would be for the fed. gov. to put every able bodied welfare recipent to work. You want your check? prove you've earned it. the crops etc. would come in the welfare rec. would finally have some pride in a job well done and employment would be at 100%. beat that-problem solved- send all the illegals back. |

Crash? Doubtful, However:
There are an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the US that make up 4.9% of the US Work Force. They make up larger amounts of the following industries:
Farming 24%
Cleaning 17%
Construction 14%
Food Prep 12%
Production 9%
Transport 7%
So expect to pay more for your fresh produce, more expensive janitorial, harder to find construction, some restaurants going out of business or higher prices, and more expensive cost to move goods.
This would be a nice recession, but not a "crash", it is a bad idea to remove nearly 5% of the US work force and not expect any consequences |

No the unemployment numbers would go down. Real Americans would be able to have jobs and could demand better wages. |

NO WAY!!!!! If we did NOT have all the ILLEGALS here,LEECHING off the TAXPAYERS,we would have a SURPLUS of money, to help all the AMERICAN people( YOU KNOW, the ones who REALLY DESERVE IT!!!) WE would ALL be BETTER OFF if all these MOOCHERS would GO BACK TO MEXICO!!!!!!! |

I have provided research on your question...if the U.S. got rid of all illegal immigrants, the crops wouldn't be gathered, so the food economy would crash. |

Pondering Reality
|
If you think about 12 million people (official statistics count 12 million some say the number is as high as 20 million) working illegally in the USA, noone is keeping any records on those people to begin with. We have no real idea of how many actually work, or where they are working, or in which jobs. We don't even know how many are unemployed and live on the streets taking "day laborer" jobs. So how could the absence of undocumented people in our workforce crash the economy if they aren't being taken account of to begin with?
No, the economy wouldn't crash. It would open the jobs up for Americans to have the jobs. |
