My boyfriend got stopped by a cop a few days ago, they took him to the station and then brought him to a detention center and called immigration. Immigration is coming within 3 days to pick him up and deport him. What can I do so he can stay here, or what can I do so he can come back again ? I am a permanent resident of the U.S ( here in florida) and he is from Central America. He is here illegaly because his visa expired. I am applying for citizenship right now since I turned 18. Is it true that I can apply and sponsor him for his residence ? If so how and is there any other way ? Any information would be appreciated !!

He came here with a visa....sOOoo its NOT illegal. It was illegal after his greencard expired !!!!

He obviously did not come into U.S. illegaly-if his visa expired-.Since you are getting your citizenship, you can sponsor him, from his country-assuming he gets deported-after you get your citizenship. Since immigration is getting ready to deport him, there probably is no way for you to stop it right now, but to make sure...talk to an immigration lawyer-first consultation is always free of charge... |

He is going to be deported and banned from the US for 10 years. Nothing you can do but go there and live with him. If you were a citizen AND married prior to his deportation you might of been able to file for a waiver. As it is his chances of returning to the US at any time do NOT look good! |

i am currently in the same situation only my fiance was nto deported he came back on his own to fix the visa.he was punished to mexico for 10 years because they had found out he had been here illegally but there is a loophole youll have to go and tlak to the american consulant .there is nothing you can do now to stop the process he will get sent back.i would suggest talking to a well known immigration lawyer becuase alot of them only pretend to know. |
