Illegal alien...came here legally?

I just found out that my friend (under 18, came w/family) came to the US legally, however then over stayed their time, while applying for assylum, and now has left the country. I am wondering if it would ever be legally possible for their family to come back??

Well if their application expired this would suggest the asylum requested is no longer needed and the person is going where they needed asylum from no longer needs it |

Yes, it is possible for them to come back legally. Of course, that would mean that they'd need a waiver of any grounds of inadmissibility that applied to them, and if they planned to live in the U.S. again, as they did before, they'd need immigrant visas.
Naturally, the tough part would be qualifying for an immigrant classification, but if they did qualify, they could apply for immigrant visas and return properly. |
