People who are in the country illegally should not be allowed to work, have driver's licenses, or be awarded the other privileges that should be exclusive to U.S. citizens. If you or I were in another country illegally, would we be allowed those benefits? I gather your deportation comments would also apply to our present administration, is that correct?

Ha! It was nuts a LONG time ago...when they started putting things in different languages (press 1 to hear ENGLISH?!?!) and catering to the illegals. I was uninsured 2 years ago and had to make an ER visit...I was definitely slapped with the $2k bill but the illegal aliens in the room next to me skated off. Nice. A local car dealer in my city now has billboards exclusively in Spanish. WTF??

Yes. It bothers me that his brother, who was fully aware of the fact that he was using a stolen identity, was allowed to keep his job as a policeman. He should have been fired for that.

My hubby was just hired as a cop, the hiring process took 6 months, how did they miss the fact that their applicant was not legal to have the job? That is huge scary!

It's far too easy to get these jobs in high security positions. I also think of those illegals in the airports. We definitely need to get a handle on this now before we get bombed by a terrorist in a security position. No driver's licenses or any other licenses for that matter. Attrition by enforcement, it's got to work quickly! The future of our nation is in our hands now. Vote!

Yes, it is but who do you think we should really blame for this atrocities in our country, well the US government and the pro illegals. Right now thanks to our insistence about the illegals and Lou Dobbs in CNN the government is doing a little bit more than before. But I think they should do more and I bet you that we don't have to deport them, they will all go home. Now we have to watch the government of Mexico, talking about "safe houses" in American territory, run by the Mexican government. Are we the Americans are going to tolerate this atrocities of invasion by the Mexican government? Implanting "safe house" in the USA to protect the illegal Mexican aliens so they could not get deported by our authorities. Do you all believe this.??

Unfortunately, however, this one, little, miniscule, example by no means makes any kind of significant ripple in the plain and simple fact that there is no such thing as a law-enforcement department that cares one whit whether or not they've just hired a liar...

Because it is from lying and disrepresenting facts and any other method of deceit that most of their revenues are raised by which they and their supervisors get paid.

So, the vast majority of law-enforcement agenices openly welcome dishonesty, even if they can't quite pin their fingers onto exactly what it is that the officer candidate has been lying about.

I don't understand why this is a big deal. He was trying to get a legitimate job and make a contribution to society. He could have gone the easy way out and applied for welfare and leach off of taxpayers, but he chose to work, and in a very honorable profession at that. It doesn't change the fact that he was illegal, but I think he is superior to most of the other illegals.

Such rubbish!!!! I don't see immigrants funding loans for people that cant afford them. I dont see immigrants sending our troops to die for a people that could care less if we are there and have been fighting amounst themselves for the last thousand or so years. I dont see immigrants lying about interogatuion techniques and burning the tapes to cover it up.

Lastly I dont see immigrants committing treason and giving up our intelligence agents because they are against your point of view. Stop blaming the immigrant for trying to make a better life for themselves. Unless your family is of Indian Descent, your a immigrant as well.

No one is talking about issuing drivers licenses. This is an issue you should take up with the person who hired him/her, not with the entire US government.
