Don't be ashamed of asking this question. The people who were being negative aren't nice and just forget what they say.

I don't beleive they would be able to get welfare check because even though their child is a US citizen the parents are not and had been living their illegally. But here is what I can say to help you:
Because this child was born in the US the parents can have the right to get US citizenships their more quicker then someone who doesn't have any family in their. You can (or this person) can get a citizenship and live in the US and get welfare. You need to be living in that country inorder to recieve welfare.

Are you serious? No. If the parents leave, or get deported, and take the child with them then they are expected to support themselves and their child by working.

The only checks sent overseas are Social Security retirement checks for elderly people who contributed to the system their whole life before leaving the United States.

On the other hand, they can leave the child with legal family members, legal friends, put the child in foster care or put it up for adoption.

No the child has to be in America with an America address.They do not send checks to Mexico

No, the parents of the anchor baby do not receive any kind of benefit from the USA once they are back in their own country. Perhaps THEIR country will provide benefits.

i would say not. absolutely not. they came here illegally to have their child here. that is devious and still breaking the law, and why would you want to pay someone for breaking the law

No. Welfare is only to assist the US born child, so that this child can have shelter and food. Once they move out of the state, they will no longer receive welfare checks from that state and would have to apply in another state, if they are qualified, to receive government assistance, however, the US would NEVER send government assistance to someone living in Mexico or any other country for that matter.

According to US Code 8, the answer is no. They need permission from the US government to enter and being born to foreign parents in this country does not make you an automatic US Citizen.

the only benefits to having an anchor baby is that when the kid grows up (age 21) , he can live in USA for 5 years and then sponsor his parents to come to USA. thats it.
