They are still illegal and the parents can most definetly be deported with the baby as per the Patriot Act. We probably just won't take the time and effort to enforce it. To all who are hating on immigrants:
Immigrants migrate to this country for the same reason that all of your ancestors did, an opportunity for a better life for themselves and their families. The laws have changed and now it is not as easy to get citizenship as it was in the early 1900's when most of the Europeans migrated over. People are doing whatever they need to do to make things better for their children. Just be happy you are not in their shoes because that welfare check ain't as free as you might think it is. |

The baby becomes an "anchor baby". Once the u.s. citizen child reaches 18 years of age it can petition to have it's parents become u.s. citizens.
The parents have no new status by the act of "creating" a u.s. citizen. An immigration judge may grant them status in a court hearing, but the same can be said for illegals who don't have any children. |

It won't change the parents legal status at all only when the baby is 18 or 21 then it can petition its parents for a green card and eventually citizenship but it will take some time. Im happy for all those kids cause they are going to have a great life and a lot of opportunities. |
