One thing is being honest and speaking your mind, another thing is offending other people because of where they come from. The whole issue about "diseases" wasn't necessary for you to say because it isn't true, you're talking about these people as if they were animals, they're human beings for God's sake! Most of these people come here for a better living, to give their kids what they couldn't have back in their countries, most of them come here to work decently to support their families. I do understand that there are some of them that come here to do harm and don't take advantage of the country, but unlike those there are others that do come here and take advantage of it. You know what's sad though? there are millions of Americans here that do not take advantage of what the country has to offer for them and honestly it's sad that all these ppl in many different countries would give anything to have those same opportunities that you as an american have. Another thing learn how to spell first and then talk **** on other ppl.

I think that to be fair to everyone trying to get into the U.S. nobody has the right to just jump the border. They should have to go through the same procedure as everyone else has done before them and are still doing it. If caught here illegally they should be deported and barred from entry forever. Another thing is English should be required.

I agree that immigrants should come through the door and not the window. I know that a great many of the people who do come through the window do so however because they don't have the money to get the papers they need to cross the border.

In case you are not aware of it they are telling U.S. Citizens that they should look into getting a passport to take trips across the borders as well. Passports will cost between eighty and 200 dollars depending on how lazy and desperate you are. I spent 190 for a friends passport not a year ago.

Of course for U.S. citizens that is less than a week's earnings. For people in other countries that could be a year's earnings. just something to think about.

The fact is that economically speaking we can not afford an open door policy anymore. The dollar is declining as we struggle to cover cost of living and social security and now we have added senior drug coverage. Adding undocumented workers intot he equation only makes it necessary to raise taxes and therefore the cost of living even more.

As for diseases, Ecoli, came in the form of produce and not people. One group of people is no more likely than another to have diseases of an infectious nature. They may be more likely to have diabetes, high blood pressure, or several other conditions but not some thing contagious.

Of course with no insurance, that means nothing as they either end up at a clinic paying cash or they end up at a hospital claiming they can not afford insurance and therefore the hospitals pay for the healthcare and then make up for it by charging everyone else more money.

This is economics.

Anytime a person, regardless of race or nationality chooses to try and live undocumented in a society, any society, that person becomes a drain on that society as they get othing for his/her labor and pay a lot for that person's education, protection, health care and livelihood. that is just the way it works.

If you live in one of the overly-crowded cities near the borders like I, then you have extreme traffic jams (due to many stinky, rusted, old beat-up trucks (that you KNOW did not pass anyone's smog test); 7 out of 10 radio stations blarring crap in espanol day and night; illegals looking at you as though YOUR the one in the wrong country (especially if your Black and then the look includes disgust); and you also get to look forward to your kids being suspended from school for fighting to defend themselves against some stupid pee-wee mexican gang patterned after their parent's retarded gang...

I totally agree and did you hear cases of Leprosy have risen 75% since Bush got in office. I am dead serious, they say it is because of all the Mexicans crossing our borders. And that isn't the only communicable disease that has gotten worse. These people do not have vaccinations and health care that we have.

I don't think you are racist. I happen to agree with you. Besides all of the diseases they may bring over with them, they come into our country and take our jobs as well. It makes me sick. Americans can't get a decent job because illegal aliens will come in and do the same job for half the price we can. No wonder bankruptcies are on the rise and more and more people are losing the possessions. I definitely think our government needs to step up and help rectify this situation. They come here illegally then get pregnant and have the baby in the United States, therefore making the child a legal US citizen so they can stay. Just Wrong I say.

The way i see it? Mexicans are the majority of the blame right now, they make up 90% of the illegals in this country. So when i narrow down the field and specifically point out the mexican nationatlity when addressing the illegal immigrant problem, and i get called a racist, i say... who cares.. As for the meat of your question. We all hate it. When and IF congress passes anything LESS than 100% deportation of illegal immigrants, i think the people will revolt. And i will be right there instigating it all. Our politicians have gotten too currupt, they need a good thorough clock cleaning. This subject is taking on a whole broader meaning. It means more than just illegal immigrants. NOW it's the question of HOW are government is going to react. The situation is getting sticker and sticker every day!

Personally, the only real absolute right way to handle this is to obey the current laws we have. Start enforcing those, then we can talk about LEGAL immigration

I live in Phoenix and they are trashing it big time. Our area is now very crowded and parts of the city are literarly trashed because just too many people have flooded in.
And yes tuberculuous is on the rise due to illegals bringing it in.
I work in the inner city in education and we had a code black lock down because the police and immigration found 40 illegals in the house right next door with drugs and guns all packed into one place. This is next to 2 schools.
My mother in law was recently a juror on a trial where they convicted a "coyote" of human trafficing because he was illegally bringing people and drugs into this country for money.
And our systems, police and courts are swamped with so many illegal criminals too.
I am not racist either, as I said I work in an inner city school with kids of all races. But illegals are ruining this country.

I think the primary emphasis should be on if you're seriously trying to be a REALIST, and you would pass that test.

The majority of the people, according to multiple polls, don't think that Illegal aliens coming to the US is ok. For those who do, I would speculate it is some combination of ethnic group preference, exploitation of cheap labor (personal economics), a church or two and multiple politicians wanting to gain political power, progressivism or political correctness run amuck, and some genuine humanitarian concern. It's kind of hard to tell because those who apparently do think it's ok didn't really answer your question; but, as usual, merely attacked or criticized you with the same old stuff and usually in the same old self-superiorism manner for merely asking the question. That could be an answer in itself as it may indicate that they don't have a good answer. Maybe they just get a thrill out of attacking, who knows.

Obviously, you can type "illegal alien disease" into a search engine to get information on that. It is a valid concern, but I don't know if using the term "most" as you did would be accurate. It appears that infectious diseases that were once eradicated or non-existent in this country are emerging/re-emerging with illegal aliens often attributed with bringing in and spreading the disease. While individual illegal aliens are not likely to be more -- or much more anyway due to things like nutrition issues -- susceptible than anybody else to becoming infected with a particular disease there are places on the planet where the rate of infection/prevalence is much higher than in other places. For example the prevalence of TB in Mexico is 10 times higher than in the U.S. and the rate probably varies from region to region in that country. In some other countries the rate of infection is up to 150 times higher. If an individual enters the US unscreened from one of those high rate of infection places, then chances are good that the individual is infected and spreading the disease once in the U.S. If this is not a valid concern, then why are legal immigrants required to undergo health screening?
