Immigrant VISA question...?

I have applied for an immigrant visa to the US...what I would like to know is once i've been interviewed, how much time do i have before I must leave my country?

after you have been approved and you have received your visa, you have to leave within 6 months or else your approval would be considered abandoned.

Normally, visa has a validity of 6 months but it could vary so you better check when you get your visa.You should leave your country within that period.

Being given a visa doesn't mean you have to leave your home country, you just have the option of doing so.

Different types of visas are valid for different periods of time. As long as you use the visa before it expires, you'll be ok.
