Honour killings are always wrong. Of course, keeping people in countries where there is no rule of law and no human rights is not a good way to protect honour killing victims. If people are really concerned about honour killings, we should give people more freedom to come here where they can be safer. Otherwise, it's just an excuse to bash immigrants.

I came from an Islamic country but I'm a christian. I came to the UK legally and I don't expect anything from the soceity, but mutual respect and equality.

From what I've been seeing and reading so far, UK is becoming more Islamic. I always thought of England as, well, as England. Proud to be British and all that. Not anymore though. I always thought immigrants came here to have a better life and not create another country of their origin. Very sad to see far gone the UK is.

PC's great, but a lot of things are rather laughable. It seems to have override common sense from what I can see. Stranger and funnier.

I'm not saying the immigrants should ignore their tradition, but they must at least integrate into the soceity, right? Contribute to the soceity. Not help cripple it.

Oh well, hope someone comes to their senses soon and stop things from going too far. Through proper channel.

I agree with everything you have wrote.The honor killings have been going on for years.There is way too many living in our country who still live by there countries rule.They come here there children go & mix in English Schools so they integrate the parents do not want this so there sons or daughters are shipped off to another country to marry.When it falls apart they will kill them and they call it honor killings.It is time this country stood up against the barbaric ?.Sorry it really annoys me.I feel so sorry that they will not allow there children to become British.I am not racist however the way it is going it is enough to turn anyone.I am white & proud of it.

starts with the EU which is a centralisation of power it dictates our laws , created a single currecy ( luckily our governmnet knew we wouldnt except ) gets us paying 1.5 million every hour into ther coffer for us to receive the scraps and opened our boarders all by design .

I agree. Immigrants come in and then they protest. There have been protests by muslims that British people have no respect for their traditions. First of all the answer is yes, we have no respect for their traditions but why should we. This is a white country with its own traditions. I found it dispicible when the muslim population called out to the government to ban...Christmas day!!!! we dont here about this in the media because the government doesnt want to build up any hatred against muslims etc. When the government rufused they then asked it to be renamed to snowflake day!?

Not only that they wanted the England flag changed so that it had an islamic half to it as they found it offensive due to the flag being held against them in historic wars.

The problem is that the government want more immigrants because they know they will cause problems but not only that. Immigrants make house prices sky rocket because they are coming in and thus more good houses have to be converted into council houses where muslims etc can move in for free and then our taxes pay for their benefits and houses.

Immigrants are usually those who become terrorists and i have seen that they want England to be a muslim state. The conversion has already started and when they become the majority this country will go into freefall when they change the way elections go and take over. Its so scary to me but the process is going on. Extremists think that Britain should be a muslim state and there are alot of them out there.

Muslims also have segregate themselves from us. They wanted a 100million pound mega mosque with room for 25000 people to live built in the centre of london and to be access only for muslims.

Think about it, they are eating away at our country, we can stop it by electing in a government party who will stop them from coming in and actually set up an intelligence agency, which tracks extremists and removes them from the country.

Me and a friend are studying politics at university and plan to unleash a government party when we get the status and bring England up from its knees.

The one true thing you say is that good people are being thrown in with the bad in the minds of ordinary people. You already have your identified demon to blame (though this is a wishy washy way of saying "someone" is at fault).

You are right to condemn criminal activity. There is no such thing as an "honour killing" in any culture. How many white, British parents have killed their children? Quite a lot. Let's condemn the killers. criminals - but not their culture. If more of us could do that, we could tackle the real problem you talk about - crime.

As we both know, our roads and sewer systems were built by immigrants; our health service is staffed by people from other cultures; our scientific advancement and national security depend on immigrants working as equals alongside established citizens. If it wasn't for immigrants, we would have been over-run in the early 1940's by Hitler.

As for criminal behaviour - let's work together on that and not get distracted by red-herring arguments.

That's right, the same is happening here in the US, and now I'm hearing the same thing about out health care system, we have people who have a medical problem, get on a plane, fly into the
US get treatment and then jump back on a plane and leave,
sticking us with the bill. We have hospitals going out of business because they collapse under the weight of giving free care to
illegal immigrants and now these people. Then they have the unmitigated gall to wonder why people are mad about immigration.

Why every time some one posts as much of a statement, as a question, do some people get on the high horse and condemn. Surely it's as much a request for an opinion, as a statement? I suppose it goes the other way, as in just agreeing doesn't really tell any one why you are thinking.
There is a problem with Ilegal Immigration/false Asylum seekers in this country, the press do there best to both scaremonger, and inform the general public, depending on which paper you read. The truth about many asylum seekers being able to return, is that they don't want to, and not because it's still dangerous where they should be returning too, there are still many people from the old Yugoslavia here, I believe while the place is not perfect, it is now calm?
Many were using the excuse and travelling as an economic migrant, disappearing as soon as they got here, and working in the black economy, or with false papers.
Many cross more than one border to get to safety, we have no country next to us that is in a dangerous crisis, yet at one stage were taking a very high proportion of the people who make it to Europe.
Many destroy all paper work deliberately so as to make checks harder, delaying attempts to deal with their case, and easier to fall off the radar. Lawyers specialise in asylum cases, paid for mostly out of public funds, and tying up a legal system that could be put to better use, and the funds put to better causes.
Making this country a harder place to walk into and take advantage of makes it less atractive, and therefore numbers would go down. Not p.c. but what the heck. Genuine, Asylum seekers should be allowed to stay, a quota should be set per country, per year.
But on top of that, as rigerous a check as is possible placed on that person aplying, many war torn areas create messed up people, with different morals and sense of justice, ocaisionaly meaning that person can be a danger in a different enviroment, ie a tolerant society.
Not palatable I know, but with a certain truth to it.
