A growing country needs population to grow , That hardly applies to Britain we need immigrants like a hole in the head . We are overcrowded and our service industry is strained to bursting , yet this lunatic government keeps cramming them in like a demented steam train firemen. And when it finds that it has imported thousands of dangerous criminals and murderers it gives them millions of our cash to fight extradition back to the sh-t hole they came from . One wonders which lunatic asylum this government escaped from.

Legal immigration YES. Those who play by the rules and are legal deserve to be here.
To the poster who said "How can anybody live in the US and not pay taxes, and put money back into the economy?" I say come to Southern California to most Home Depot parking lots where the "undocumented" day laborors wait to be hired for CASH for a while by who knows who that don't want the hassel of figuring payroll taxes or paying into unemployment insurance or any other government programs that support Social Services.

Deflect any criticism of this allegedly irresponsible reproductive
behavior with, "It is a cultural U.S.A. thing. You would not understand, pal."
Keep your American identity strong. Fly Old Glory from your rooftop, or proudly display it in your front window or on your car bumper.
Speak only English at home and in public and insist that your children
do likewise. Demand classes on American culture in the Mexican school system. Demand a local Mexican driver license.

This will afford other legal rights and will go far to legitimize your unauthorized, illegal, presence in Mexico Drive around with no liability insurance and ignore local traffic laws. Insist that local Mexican law enforcement teach English to all its officers.Good luck! You'll be demanding for the rest of time or soon be dead. Because it will never happen. Illegal No! They cant possibly be because they don't pay taxes therefor don't put anything back into the society. Also here in the UK they will take more as well and the government will let you. You get a home, transport, every kind of benefits (more for each child, and bizarrely most all seem to have 7 each), free health and dental care too. oh and they will provide a translator for you at these free appointments, which you will jump the Queue for and will cost Â£80 set rate each time.

Its a shame you seem to get punished in this world for trying to be honest and hardworking. I have no problems with immigrants especially those just wanting to make a better life for them selves but THEY MUST speak the native language (before arriving), work, pay taxes and be entitled to absolutely no benefits. My husband and I are currently trying to emigrate and apart from good weather we wont be taking a thing from our adoptive country...it isn't ours.

You can't really generalize about them. Some do, some don't. It really depends on where they're from and what skills or education they have. For example, a qualified immigrant doctor will make a very significant contribution to society. And even those without skills or trades can contribute eg. in the construction industry. Often immigrants do the low paid jobs that the country's citizens are reluctant to do. But I can see where you're coming from. The media tends to focus on the ones that sit on their backsides and accept benefits without doing anything. I'd say most of them are honest, hardworking people though.

Yes they do!!! My people (Mexicans) have been working in the fields of our country ( U.S.A ) for decades. Even I work out there as a kid. It is hard work and NO ONE from the U.S will do the work.
