I wish everybody would be forced to study foreign policy, history of the world and current affairs. Some of the decisions governments take or make especially the U.K on immigration are actually the best to protect ignorant people like you. Do you know that 75% of big multinational companies around the world are wholly or partly owned by the British? So for example it is better to keep 200 immigrants from South Africa in the U.K for the sake of 5 guys running multi - international companies with revenue that pays for the guys on benefits. Some other countries have a lot of British people staying there that if they are deported on retaliation they would flood your city and you would wish if the immigrants were around.

Why U.K, do not forget that where ever people go and live they do live influence behind. The British were around so many places unlike the Germans. The Germans actually admired Them thatâ€™s why they
Started the two wars.
Note: the people who know the importance of immigrants actually facilitate them to come to enter U.K in Return for foreign Deals and some to fill in gaps in our economy. The problem is that they let the immigrants live or stay with our low class society which does not understand the importance of them, hence these confrontations

Not all immigrants r coming over here for ur own info...many go to diff parts of the world .its just coze u live in this country and all that they say is immigrants in this country .that doesnt mean that it has the majority infact it has one of the least number of ppl.so nxt time u think of saying that do some world wide research and get ur facts right dude

They may well be but we are the most generous. (unfortunately, generous as in we pay tax and the government uses the money to give benefits)

Tootsiebrownie: You ask "why do you care"? Well, I for one care because people who have lived and worked here all of their lives, paid tax and NI have to fight tooth and nail to get ANYTHING. Seems that Immigrants, asylum seekers, etc - can arrive and get everything. My friend suffers from M.E. She's now so bad she has walking sticks and is in a terrible state. Just recently she had to stop work and because of this she and her family are back staying with her mum (whose house is already over-crowded). She's been fighting with the local council to get a house next to her family (who all live in the same area) - because of the nature of her illness she needs care. And she's getting no-where fast. But in the meantime, what happens? An immigrant family arrive and are given a house in the area - no questions. This is all wrong. My friend has worked since she was 16 (she's in her 30's) and paid her dues. Up until this illness took hold she had never claimed benefits - neither has her hubby for that matter. So, where's the justice? And that's why I care - as do many others.

I lived in the UK for 18 years until recently because I admired it's advanced culture and philosophy. People are liberal and looking into truth and out of their findings they try to find the best solutions to keep going.
I loved my house and romantic English garden,too.
Basically I loved the UK, but I was always misunderstood as a migrant that I wanted to take advantage of the system.
I never took advantage of welfare or anything. It was awful to be rejected by people I loved.
I was fed up in the end and came back to my mother country.

Please remember not all the migrants are after money of the UK. Many people genuinely love the UK.

Hello! Look with your eyes. There's war, famine, poverty where the immigrants come from eg. somalia, israel, iraq.
Also, some of them want a better life, they may appreciate things here that we take for granted.

Mate! you only got to read the paper or watch the news, these people are like the mozzie invasion we are having cause of the bad weather! they swarming over cause of the ease of benefits or housing. i only went to tesco (other supermarkets are available) tonight and they were everywhere all speaking different languages, they working for f**k all and killing the trade that I worked and trained so hard to be in. makes me mad. If you want my advice pal move away !!!!! I'm going to Canada and taking my wife and kids with me like to see the scroungers get in that country with the pointing system they got . WHOA!! you hit a raw nerve with that question.

Germany doesn't have enough room. Germany is not richer, the DM isn't even that strong. They have plenty of immigrants over there as is, or at least when I lived there. A country the size of Oregon.

The US has plenty already even a few Brits

Then again, The English have been trying to take over countries for hundreds of years now. Perhaps it's payback.

In Germany we have the language barrier since we did not spread it around the world by colonizing every single country :-)

Ha ha KRENAO: How dumb can you be ??? we changed the currency 10 years ago and we have troubles because of its relative overstrength.
