Enforce our current laws and they will leave on their own.
Why fight FOR illegal immigrants??
We will fight for LEGAL immigrants that want to immigrate here legally. Send the illegals back home. |

C. Fight to enforce the laws currently in place! You need a reality check. Enforcing the borders first will solve half of the problem through self-deportation and immediate decrease in the criminals coming in.
edit: All your talk about them paying taxes: They already know more about breaking our laws and stealing identities. what can really make you think they will suddenly become law abiding? They are called illegal for a good reason! |

I am gonna have to agree with the first answer on this one. |

A.
If all of the heads of household have to return home, pay the fees and fines, then they should just go home and stay. That would take care of 4 million right away. Then we can work on the rest of them. |

You are correct to believe there are alternative ways to deal with illegal immigrants beyond trying to deport them. However, they are lawbreakers and should be held accountable for that, not rewarded. The $5000 perhaps could be the fine paid for breaking the immigration law. IRS will have to get their fair part as well. Employers should also be dealt with. We have to secure our borders prior to being able to deal effectively with this entire issue which will mean passports will be needed for all crossing borders. There is so much to deal with. I think this whole issue needs to be dealt with in a piece meal fashion. There is way too much to deal with and consider in the bill Bush is trying to push for. |

We can deport them if we want. During WW2 we had many illegals from Mexico here working while the soldiers were in Europe and Pacific theatre and Eisenhower after the war had them rounded up and basically put the word out that they were being rounded up to be deported and most just left voluntarily, so we can do it. Why not build a fence first and give them work visa's for now and they can apply for citizenship if they want. But make them go to a government office and get finger printed and come thru check points when coming and going. I know a lot of folks along the border don't want the fence right on the border which is ok, we can put it at the 20 mile check point and make the border region a open zone. This will allow industrial plants and such to locate along the border and hire Mexican nationals who don't want visa's or American citizenship. But the one's coming north should have a visa with all biometric info on record. |

We did "B" back in 1986. Look at the mess we've got today. Face the facts. Our politicians just don't have the guts to secure the border. |

You asked "how in the world do you deport 12 million illegal immigrants"...the answer...one at a time, the same way as they got here.
If we don't start sometime, these 12 million will someday be 15 million, then 30 million, then 50 million....
If you look at the other side of the coin...if 20 years ago you were told that in 2007 there would be at least 12 million illegal aliens, you would have said "how in the world can 12 million illegal aliens get into the U.S....the answer...one at a time.
If you think America should merely bury its head in the sand and give up...wow...I am glad you aren't in charge in this country!!!!!!
If you are any kind of a patriot, you will insist that our government enforce the laws on the books...and if anyone is legallized, let it be those attempting to immigrate here legally. |

Secure the border then start a roundup,,it will take time, but it can be done,,,if we legalize them, their other family and friends will come here and then we will still have miliions of illegals,,,,,,we gotta get tough,,,enough is enough,,, |

If the government would enforce all the laws that ILLEGALS are currently breaking, including document fraud,A FELONY, Identity theft,A FELONY,drunk driving without a license or insurance causing bodily injury A FELONY.... Should I continue?? All of these should be cause for AUTOMATIC DEPORTATION. Enforce the law,and they will dissappear!!! |

Let's help other people that break the laws as well. Child molesters need work too, and we're short on teachers. |

Nicole i think your hair bands are a pit tight. FIRST CLOSE THE BORDERS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It's would be very easy 2 depot or have them leave enforce the laws we have. Fine & jail employers & renters no work no stay. Them all found using stolen IDS&SS# Forged docs, of any kind15yrs prison Federal offence. All criminals illegals aliens male or female They work while in prison or jail, as building more prisons & the border fence, & picking fruit & veg grow there own the females cook etc since these are jobs they will do.Since when do you reward criminals you don't you punish them. Give them the choice leave with our blessing come back legally or when caught do the time.
As for the anchors babys deport them also when 18 yrs old they make there own choice if they want to be a USA citizen an obey our laws. See how it could be done, the hard part is to have our ===less Gov= Dems & libs & Rep up hold the constitution & laws we have 2 protect us. Call e/mail protest, vote them out of office till we have real men not a bunch of ??? your call. Just my thought. |

um. no offense but adding the "impossible" and "possible" at the end of the choices isn't helping...if you want other people's opinions then you shouldn't include yours...
