The UK has a proud history of giving asylum to people who have had to leave their own countries because of persecution, but we are now beginning to become an ethnic dustbin in which the discards from the rest of the world annoy one another with impunity and a cost to the few remaining Britons who are able to pay tax.

It is time that Britain became as hard, unscrupulous and uncaring as its enemies - thieves, rogues and vagabonds that they are.

to the answer under mine; they DO GET WELFARE AND FOOD STAMPS, I see it with my eyes in our local grocery store. The other day, I was in this grocery store, just buying a few things that I forgot from Walmart, and 90% of the people were hispanics with the carts full of stuff, and the register told me Oh yeah is very busy in the beginning of the month because they received the food stamps. So, to avoid to have a green or red face, I never go back in the first day of every month.

no we only have amnesties when the politicioans think doing the correct thing is too hard or brings negative publicity. e.g could we have an amnesty for poll tax demonstrators. I think not. anyway it is rather like some stranger coming into your home and you saying ok you can stay forever.

Part of the reason why Reagan revived the economy years ago was the fact that he granted amnesty to millions of hard working illegal immigrants.

trend of pay rates to very low levels. Solution? Regularize
these workers so they can join the unions. Surely, they'd rather
have $18/hr instead of $8/hr. Another complaint is they are
draining the welfare coffers of the federal government by
becoming a social burden. Solution? Legalize them so they can
pay ss/medicare and income taxes. If 10 million undocumented
workers pay payroll and income taxes and property taxes, that
would be billions of dollar going into government coffers.
Terrorists, druggists, smugglers, criminals, be they citizens or
immigrants have there place in jail. But hardworking people
seeking the american dream should be treated with respect and
dignity. America is a nation of immigrants. Even native
americans have accepted the presence of immigrants in this land.
But many have forgotten that our ancestors came from other lands
in search of the american dream.
