I have been in the states for 17 years my mother had gotten a lawyer and i was covered under her when she went to get her green card the lawyer at the time told the judge that they will do the children later he than told my mother it would be faster to get her citizenship but now she has that and i have exceded the age she can no longer cover me i have a three year child and there is nothing that the immigration can do for me at this time...i cant work but can only go to school since i have an a1 visa i dont know where i can go from here.

Your mother should be able to cover you still until you are 21 years old. As long as you are her dependent.
What you need to do is have her sponsor you for a green card. I would suggest another lawyer or simply do-it-yourself. There is also the option of finding a lawyer who will work pro-bono. Go online to http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and find the necessary documents you need for the sponsor. |

so you go to school and im assuming you are getting a free education but you have no idea of what to do?? this is very sad ,you have a 3ry old child and im sure the other parent is also an illegal immigrant. seem,s like you have two legal option,s you can deport yourself with out the child or you can deport yourself with the child. you have ruin your opportunity,s in the united state,s but maybe with that free education you have been enjoying here can be put to good use back in your home country. |

I feel so bad for you. You should have automatically gotten your green card and citizenship if you were a minor when you mother got hers, i fonly you were not misinformed.
I suggest you go to a competent lawyer and maybe he can help you with your current situation. |

There are organizations that offer free legal help to people who truly need it. Contact one of them. You don't have to go back to your home country. I am assuming your child was born here in the states, if so there is your in. I am sure once you filled out the appropriate paper work, and explained the situation, you would be issued a green card.
