Immigration from the U.S. to Australia?

I am medically disabled with epilepsy and am on disability. I am a United States citizen and live in the U.S. I am considering immigrating to Australia. Though I have a bachelor's degree I have not been able to work in years because of my disability.
How does the process start with immigration from the U.S. to Australia? Would I be eligible since I am disabled?
Any information would help. Thanks so much!

You are most unlikely to be eligible for Australian immigration on 2 counts.
You would probably be rejected on medical grounds as someone likely to be a burden on our social services (you're already on benefits) and health system, but also (and most importantly), immigration is restricted to skilled workers with qualifications and recent experience in a short list of occupations in which Australia is short of workers. If you haven't worked in years, there is no way you would qualify for skilled immigration on the experience front and in any case, a bachelor's degree isn't enough in itself - it must qualify you for a listed occupation. |

I belive that you have to be able to work, and sustian a job with X amount salary a year, even then you are on probation as a resident. |

sorry to immigrate to australia you must be skilled and experienced in an occupation listed on the skilled occupation list and be able to work in that occupation and support yourself
