Historically speaking, they would be called invaders. They are coming here uninvited and in large numbers and exercising political influence (through sympathetic but powerful groups).
Just in British history we hear of the Norman invasion, the Celtic invasion, the Germanic invasion, and the Roman invasion. Some of these - especially the Germanic and Celtic ones - were often little more than large movements of people. The arrival of European peoples in the Americas was certainly an invasion. So the tsunami of illegal immigrants is most ceratinly an invasion, making them the invaders. |

A little bit of civility goes a long way....
I am Hispanic and my parents came from Mexico legally. My dad served in the military, we are Americans. Of course I have compassion for the poor people in Mexico.
My parents grew up there. I see how the poor live over there. I feel bad for those people. I know some illegal aliens and they, for the most part, are good hard working people. They are just seeking a better life. I think they get a bad rap.... |

No. We should call them illegal aliens. That is what they are.
Euphisms simply work to create clouds of fluff around ideas and actually are attempts at changing the feeling towards them.
They are not guests. They are not guest peoples. They have come into the country against the law. That makes what they have done a criminal act. It's not up there with murder, but it's still a criminal act.
To put it on a more everyday level, they are the people who butt in line in front of you at the grocery store. Do you have any idea how many people are trying to become Americans legally?
By all means America should remain open to LEGAL immigration for people who want to become American. Too many of the illegals want to simply take from America. They have no idea of giving back. That doesn't make them guests in my book. |

They destroy neighborhoods, bring in masses of crime(murderers,theives, rapists, pedophiles, drug runners, etc) deadly dangerous disease, cause wages to plummet, are the direct cause of 100's of hospitals in CA alone to close their doors, glut our schools, abuse our federally funded services and demand rights they don't have, and on and on..
