Please explain to me how illegal aliens deserve civil right protection under the law when they have no respect for the law.

I'm white and I'm still subject to the provisions of the law. If the police ask me for identification I am required to provide it. The law does not require anything more than the federal law already requires.

Edit: In response to your added comment. The law is 100% about illegal aliens. You, as a citizen have nothing to worry about. ICE and the INS have the same if not broader authority to prosecute undocumented workers.... they have for years. Why now are you against enforcing these laws?

The law is not a civil rights issue ! It does nothing and says nothing toward Mexican-Americans, African-Americans or American-Americans ........The law is a problem for the illegal criminal trespassing people that criminally trespass into Arizona !

I have never seen or heard of so much protest for a law that "MIGHT" cause problems when it goes into effect ! Why don't you people wait and see what happens !!!!!

BTW.....If the feds take the state to court over this.....I believe it will be a first time in history that a state has to defend itself against the federal government, it is a waste of tax payers money as I see it ! I see your point , but the law passed in Arizona, have you read it?, is actually less stringent the US Federal immigration law that already exists, The problem that people seem to be having with it is that Arizona intends on actually enforcing the laws on the books, unlike the US federal government. It is funny, the mouth pieces in the media speaking out about the law and it's unconstitutionality, across the board when asked say, No, I haven't actually read the law, I heard about it.

If you read the law then explain how it allows racial profiling? Esp. since the law expressly prohibits that very practice! Also when you said LULAC as supporting your stand it tells me you are a racist. As a small business owner I had several run in with LULAC activists who objected to me hiring my own son as opposed to Illegals who could not speak ore read English.
