I find that US citizens posting on YA have difficulty with it themselves but complain about immigrants not speaking it. Should we be proficient before we attack others.
Example of a Question asked yesterday. Missing punctuation, fragmented, run on sentence. And this one is actually one of the better ones.
"Why are grown latina men crying over If she leaves, what are we going to do are latinos this helpless?"

Nobody said they have to speak it perfectly so get over yourself. They should be able to hold conversational English or just not come. I sure hope that was understandable to you.....
Just like that one poster said, who knows if English was that question askers first language. But, kudos to them since they were able to get their point across. Sure beats out all the illegals that do not even attempt it. |

English is the hardest language to learn.
However, a lot of the problems regarding grammar and spelling can be blamed on an under-funded and over-crowded education system which no longer put as much emphasis on those things. |

I could understand their question, it is the mexicans that won't even try to learn. U.S. citizens should not have to learn their language. |

Errors in posting online have little to do with one's ability to speak or understand a language and everything to do with typing ability,
failing to proofread, and writing as though you were texting a friend.
And what makes you sure that the person posting this was a native speaker of English? |

You seem to have missed the fact that the bad grammar and misspelled questions and answers come from the pro-illegals.
Or - you might think trolls are real.
