Bad. Illegals do not push Americans to work harder. The jobs Americans use to do for legal wages and benefits are now performed by illegals and the Americans are now on unemployment and welfare. Send the free loaders home and put the welfare recipients back to work. |

They're very good for the country and you can take 'don't pay taxes' out of the cons column as they pay billions every year. Not even YA's most ardent wallhuggers would deny that.
Illegal immigrants are the spirit of what made America great in the first place. A huge appetite for work, a willingness to risk life and limb in order to create a better life for their children.
In contrast, among native-born Americans, laziness and torpor has set in. The single greatest complaint against illegal immigrants is that they're willing to work for so little. Bottom line is: they're willing to work. Hungry and motivated, an employer can be assured of a conscientious employee who's actively seeking overtime, not trying to dodge it.
5 million Americans won't even work during times of full employment. They are the deadweight that's dragging the country down. Replace them with Hispanic immigrants and once again the country has the chance to be a vital, energetic economy. Without them, it gets old and lazy. |
