President Obama plans to send 1200 troops to the border to help guard the border but, soldiers are not allowed to detain the illegal crossers. President Bush had ordered 6000 troops to guard the border.

No, he isn't. The Fed's haven't done enough for the last 24 years.
As for AZ sending their own guard. There are no FUNDS. Everyone states it's a Fed problem, let them handle it. Then when you want them to handle it they say the state should pay for it.
It is a Fed problem, let them pay for it. In fact how about reimbursing us the $B's we've paid out in connection with illegal aliens. A big fat stimulus check would work just fine. |

actually when bush sent them, the border patrol said border crossings had fallen 80 percent. why dont the governors send their own guardsmen if their so worried. nobody is doing enough. |

were the 6,000 enough? did illegal immigration come to a crashing halt when Bush deployed the 6,000? I don't think so. in reality, no one really knows what would be enough. |
