Clarification, I hear often from pro immigration that the people against it our racists. In my downtown pro groups got together and they burned an American flag. If you question why there is no national language, they call you racist, yet mexico has a national lang. In Mexico you cannot even be a policeman or fireman unless you were born in Mex. Even if you are a mexican legal citizen. That's racist. I often hear, pro groups say "They, do the work We don't want to group." That is racism, they are dividing us. It is stupid to think we would not do those jobs. Who did them before them. I worked fast food & would have rather had an landscaping job for sure. I even heard Hillary exclaim once, "who will take care of our homes, wash our dishes, pick our crops, and pick up our hotel rooms."--That is such a racist statement. So yes, I feel there is much racial tension about his issue. I feel the pro immigration movement uses it as an intimidation tool. When n doubt threaten with racism.

I do not think that either side of this argument is fueled by racism. However supporters of illegals are fueling racism by blaming opponents of being racist.
El Angel...supporting immigration (even illegal) is not racism. However, those who are pro-illegal lumping legal and illegal to say that anyone against illegal immigration is racist IS FUELING THE RACISM FIRE! By pointing the racist finger at non-racists, they are spreading hate and anger among the minorities by making them believe that anti-illegals are racist. By the way, I am anti-illegal. My LEGAL immigrant in-laws and my first generation American born wife are all VERY anti-illegal, and they and their friends are responsible for over 80 deportations. It would be kind of hard to call THEM racists. |

Not from my position. I have Mexican relatives by marriage. I find them to be very nice LEGAL people. I do have a problem with illegal immigration and the trouble they have caused in our nation. This is a legal issue not a racial one! |

How does that possibly make sense-that if you support upholding the laws of our country, you are a racist.? If you agree that we should uphold the laws of our country, then how could you be promoting racism? I'd like to think that I am promoting everyone being a law-abiding citizen. If that makes me a racist, then I guess I'm a racist. But so is evey other law-abiding citizen of this country. No, massive illegal immigration degrades the sovereignty of the nation.
It isn't racism per se because it doesn't directly correlate with a specific 'race'; however, in America it usually implies boarder crossings from Mexico by Mexicans. That negative connotation, when used derogatorily, would be racist. |

There isn't more than one form of racism. Pure racism is rare and limited to a small number of people of all races. It is way more common to be accused of racism. People that see it at evey turn suffer from low self esteem. |

Many of the Anti's on here talk about illegals.
Some, like me, talk about illegals and talk mostly about Mexicans.
Other than a few like me, the majority are against illegals in general.
The great majority of the time when illegals and Pro's respond on here, hold rallies, or make statements about Americans, it is about hating "Whitey".
That is racism.
You can't even call me racist, Yes I hate Mexicans, but I have plenty of friends and relatives who are Hispanic. They are just not racist Mexicans.
I also have no problem with Blacks. Many of my friends growing up were Hmong and they were the predominate race in my neighborhood. I myself am part American Indian.
So hating Mexicans does not make me racist, just Nationalistic.
Focusing hatred of Americans of Whitey is racist and is also denying the rights of other races to call themselves an intigral part of their own country.
The illegal Mexicans and their supporters are definitly promoting racism against White America. They will deal with the other races here after they take over.

The attitude towards illegal immigrants is racism. Did it ever occur to anyone they DON'T want to become citizens? Illegals(and I don't just mean Mexicans) come here to work for a few months,make money to send back home,and they themselves go home to come back again next year and do it all over again.
American business owners make a crapload of money off of them,the illegals made money to support their families back home. What's the problem? |
